Yup, I browse one of their message boards and they are the most reasonable fan base I have come across.

That article made me feel all warm-and-fuzzy inside, knowing how great Cam Cameron is as a coordinator and how much potential this offense has.

In the words of Al Davis right before he fires another headcoach, "JaMarcus Russell; he's a good player, get over it!."

We don't really try to make guys something they aren't. There are certain things we'd prefer to do, but if it doesn't fit a player, we don't do it."

Yes! This is what a good coach does. Use his players to take the best advantage of their abilities.

Agreed. He has a history of developing QB's, such as Brees and Rivers. I hope the Ravens keep this guy a loooooong time. One of the reasons Peyton Manning has been so good is that he's had the same OC his entire career. I hope to see the same kind of relationship with Cam and Flacco as Manning has had with Tom Moore.

I agree completely. I just dont know how realistic that is though. Eventually I am sure Cam will want to try being a HC again. I am not sure how long he will have to lead the Ravens O to success to get that opportunity again though.

The Ravens offense will shock a lot of people this year. The Article mentioned Cam's time in SD. Well when you think about his time in SD, he didn't have all pro WRs. He just used everyone on offense to get the job done.

Cam will turn Rice, McGahee, McClain, Mason, Clayton, Williams, Washington, Heap, Smith into weapons, they just have to stay on the field. Even guys like Jones and Harper will be used at times this year.

The year's of the poor Billick offense is over. No longer will our 3rd WR just be a special teams guy. Cam will make this offense unperdictable.

Cam won't have a problem throwing the ball to McClain on 3rd and 5 when the whole stadium thinks we are going to Mason. We will slow a lot of teams pass rush down with screens and play action.

We'll see a lot more explosive plays in the run game this year.

People outside of Baltimore think we are still just a defensive team.

Some people in Baltimore think we are just a run first, pass when needed team.

However I think this ofgfense will be a pleasant surprise for everyone this year. You will see some 300+ passing games from Flacco. You will see games where we have 2 RBs go over 100 yards. You'll see some 3-4 TD games for Flacco.

I made this statement last year and I stand by it still. The last thing that any AFC team wanted to see was the Ravens get a good offense.

With the type of defense the Ravens have played, adding a quality offense would be hell for the rest of the leauge.

Well ladies and gents, the Ravens seem to be close to having that offense. We still have the defense, so now it's time for the Real Ravens to stand up.

Top 3 defense + Top 12-15 offense= Super Bowl imo. Questiion is, will we be able to match those numbers this year? It's gonna be fun to watch it play out.

I hate to say anything negative about Cam, but his year in Miami was a disaster. How odd is it that his only win was against us? :)
As selfish as this sounds, I hope he doesn't get any other offers....

It's always good for Coordinators to move on to bigger and better things rather than having us fire them. It sets an example for future coaching prospects that Baltimore is a great team to work for. We support our coaches, we help them succeed as coaches in general.

In turn, we can go after the guys that we want, and bring them in. You do not want to end up like the Redskins. Where coaches are afraid to coach there, and Jim Zorn is the best option you can get.

I do the same thing with my employees. As much as I would love for the allstars to stay, I also want to see them move on to bigger and better things. It's not about being selfish, but helping the people who help you.

Cam was the single greatest addition to this team in '08 imo. Harbaugh hiring obviously paved the way for Cam, but Cam has had the greatest impact on the team in general. From week 1 of last season, Cam put his stamp on our offense and everyone took notice.

Good point. Even better example than Washington is Oakland. Who in their right mind would want to coach there?

How sad is that? It's almost like talking about Marvin Lewis's bad defense in Cincy.

True, Oakland is in there. Really it boils down to ownership ofcourse. Selfish owners such as Al Davis and Danny Snyder, fail to create a culture which supports coaches. And when coaches aren't supported, teams fail.

Owners who really want to win, need to hire football minded guys/leaders. Ozzie Newsome is the best example. We have created such a positive atmosphere for both coaches and players and this all stems from Art Modell & Steve Bisciotti.
