warden on this topic and many others , are you sure your a steelers fan you seem too level headed , you know espn has been wrong more times then right remember in 2001 - The Ravens Could not Win in pittsburg and they also said the Ravens D could not win them the SB which point was right none so stop with espn

wow the ravens are now half a year younger then me I am now 29 today

I think 1999, 2000 and 2001 neither of us could win at home (when playing each other). Now it's the other way around (with the exception of this past season).

I appreciate the complement. My attitude reflects that of most of you.

Well, we WERE old mainly due to the fact of having Rolle and CMac as starters and our DL is still relatively old, but they are very good

nice post...I get tired of the aging D talk, if a player can play he can play...if not, then he is gone. I was a little concerned with the ability of the Jets to run on us last week. I know it's only preseason, but to see the teams bread and butter go the wayside was concerning.

Very interesting, but one thing:

William Gay, age 24, is starting at CB for Pitt, not Deshea Townsend.

This makes the Ravens Defense Average Age 28.3, Pittsburgh's 28.5...

Townsend looked good running back that Choko Romo pick 6 last year lol

And the one think Ravens have at every position that the Steelers don't? Depth.
[/quote]
Really? I don't keep up with them, personally, but I would think they would at least have as much depth as we do.

we will always be the underdogs unless we win another super bowl.

Close. WE will always be the underdogs as long as Tom Brady is playing.
Steelers won the Super Bowl. Ravens were the AFC runner-up, but the Patriots are the favorite this year? and every year before that?

True.

I don't know how we can slip from the 3rd best team to the 10th by losing Jim Leonhard (Who is no Dawan Landry), Bart Scott and Rex Ryan. A team who has no bye week making it that far with a rookie head coach and a rookie QB is pretty damn impressive and thats why it pisses me off the Ravens arent getting respect. Not because they are my team but because they fought for a neverending season plagued with injuries and made it to the AFCCG. That's why I hate Espn.

Go BlackBirds!

I was with you right up until the end. You need not even mention ESPN. I don't even consider them a very serious sports source anymore.

Let me put it this way: If Soap Operas had a half hour news show to get you caught up on the drama and make you anticipate more of it, it would be called ESPN.
