At least two teams – the Ravens and the Jets – are keeping a close eye on the Eagles' wide receiver situation. The Eagles have an excess of wealth there right now. There's a good chance they'll deal one of their wide receivers – perhaps Reggie Brown – before the final roster cutdown.

The Jets don't have much experience at the position beyond Jerricho Cotchery. The next four wideouts on their depth chart have a total of 92 career receptions.

The Ravens, coached by former Eagles assistant John Harbaugh, also need help there. Aside from starters Derrick Mason, who had to be coaxed out of retirement, and Mark Clayton, they don't have much. Right now, their No. 3 wideout is Demetrius Williams, who has just 55 catches in 3 NFL seasons. After him, bubkis.

Reggie Brown would be a nice addition, if it happens. He's turning 29 soon even though he just got drafted a few years ago. Solid backup i guess, he could compete with Kelley to be our 4th receiver. And who knows when Clayton's gonna be back.

I'm kinda of a Reggie Brown fan. He can really stretch the field. Doesn't get much attention because the Eagles spread the ball when it comes to WRs. In his 5 seasons. He has had a catch of 40+ or longer in each. Four of them TD catches.

Former 1st rd draft pick I believe...good addition, could maybe supplant Clayton as our 2nd receiver. I think he would greatly bolster our passing offense
...right?

Yup, I browse one of their message boards and they are the most reasonable fan base I have come across.

yeah I'd definitely take him, the Eagles are loaded at WR now especially if Jeremy Maclin turns out to be anything to they hope him to be. Brown's been pretty productive till DeSean came along and took his reps plus its nice to have a receiver over 6 feet tall for a change :P

watch out NFL, last year we introduced you to Flacco and Rice, which could now be Flacco and Brown Rice :P

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. There is no way that the Eagles will keep all their receivers after they selected Maclin. I wasn't sure if it would be Reggie Brown or Jason Avant, but it makes perfect sense.

Curtis was injured just one year. You must be thinking about Donte Stallworths injury plagued run in philly. Curtis isn't a #1 reciever, but he is borderline because of his speed. Arguable like Derrick Mason. But other than one season, i havent heard Curtis having injury problems, even in St. louis.

Reggie Brown is a bust, he is just not a very good player. I wouldn't even put him at #3. Since Smith in on IR I can understand adding him for depth, but i wouldn't consider him much more than a slight upgrade over Figurs. I've really watched the guy for the last couple years in philly because he was supposed to be the guy after T.O, and he was just terrible - and if he ever did look good in any game, its because McNabb bought time a made a play making him look good. Why wouldn't we try to get matt jones, reggie williams, marvin harrison... those guys would have much more potential to make a play or two than brown... maybe because harbs came from philly?

So what exactly would we trade in return? I certainly hope it wouldn't be a 1st round pick that for sure.

No need to trade, that's the point, the Eagles might drop one of these guys.

Brown only had 3 games last year, with more than one catch. However, he had 61-780-4 in 2007, and 46-816-8 in '06, a 18 yd/catch average.

He may not be a #1, but he's worth a 4th round pick, or so...

I figured we would definitely look Philly's way with all the WRs they have. I think it would be a good pick up but then again I feel Kelley and Justin are doing great ....but this could help us due to the fact Mason will most likely retire after winning the SB this year.

If Wes Welker is infact a FA next year we better jump on him too. I love that dude even if Ed Reed did take his head off.

Matt and Reggie are battling legal issues, no thank you! plus neither one has lived up to the hype and they are pretty much on the same level of Reggie Brown. Marvin Harrison sounds like a better option but it seems like every team is avoiding him, something is not right with him..
