Madden 10 Team Ratings Flux In Franchise Mode

10 posts in this topic

Anybody else have this problem, I go to play franchise and suddenly all the teams team ratings are different. This is in year 1 as well.

Team----------New Rating-------------Old Rating
Pats----------89---------------------93
Rams-----------80---------------------66
Raiders---------81---------------------71

Anybody else have this problem? Im getting kind of PO'ed, half the reason I was excited about this game was the ratings, and how there isnt 5 legit teams, and then everyone else is 80. Even the bengals are an 82 in my weirdass game.

The really weird part is when I goto Play Now, all the teams ratings are normal. Any suggestions here fellas?

1) Are you playing with the roster updates when you go into Play Now? How about when you started Franchise Mode?
2) There's a possibility that this is Franchise Mode's way of saying how all teams are even when the season starts, kinda like in real life. Also, there's a chance that slight roster moves were made in preseason before the first game that you didn't notice. After all, one of the additions to Franchise Mode is improved team AI to where they will make trades and cut players amongst themselves, as opposed to years past where only user-controlled teams ever did anything.

Ya I have the roster update, but what perplexes me is when I go back to the original rosters, before the update its the same anyways. This happens right when you go to pick the team you want for franchise. So in the full 32 team screen all the ratings are messed up, so I figured it must be that screen, but when i go into the actual franchise its the same.

It depends on the starters, taking into account injuries etc. Sometimes it takes a while for the computer to update, just like the player ratings don't progress or regress the same as the progression and depth chart screen.

What do you mean? How does that affect teams jumping ratings?

It means the main players screen doesnt reload the real ratings consistently, the depth chart and progression screen does and are different at times. This can happen for up to 3 seasons.

If you trade for stronger players the team rating stays the same until the next season.

so if i turn off CPU signings and trades, will the team overall ratings stay the same? Remember im talking before I play a single game in franchise mode the team ratings are all messed up, before even the first preseason game.

As long as the players on each team are the same, skill wise and stuff, I dont think you should let it bother you, I dont have madden 10 yet so Idk if thats the case, but if it is the game play shouldn't change a bit!

Cheers XD
