Why the hell would they be scared? I hate those d-bags but they are football players, they arent meant to be scared by other football teams. They shouldnt be scared of anything until we can show that we can actually execute on them.

Just look at the whole Big Ben rape fiasco, while I think at this point it's pretty clear those allegations are completely false, ESPN still waited quite a while to report it, and sure haven't made a big deal over it like they did Vick, Plaxico, Stallworth, etc.

ESPN, for some reason, does seem to have a love affair with Ben, but let me assure you that it does not extend to the rest of the team.

ALL fans gripe that no one talks about their team and that is a fact. For everyone of you who claims no one talks about the Ravens I can produce five Seahawks fans who claim the same.
The sports media, it seems, likes to talk or key in more on individual players than teams. i.e, Ray Lewis instead of the Ravens, Big Ben instead of the Steelers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and on and on.

I agree with all the talk of respect. I think we as Steeler Nation are not scared but have a healthy respect for the type of play and intensity the Ravens bring and that they bring out in us. We know its always gonna be a hard fought game against the Ravens. One thing I did want to say is that I was impressed with Flacco the other night against the Jets. He made some great throws and great decisions. So far, it seems as though you now have a legitimate QB. I am so looking forward to our games this year. With that said...<NO SMACK>!!!

Hey, Steeler#1, welcome to the Ravens forum. As far as I'm concerned, Steelers fans that respect the rivalry and play of both of our teams [and isn't [i]too[/i] much of a homer ] is welcomed here.

I have no problem with the Steelers beating the Ravens twice during the season, because the Ravens are going to beat the Steelers in post-season play.

Actually, watching the game Monday night, I thought the Ravens got a lot of love from the announcers.

But yes, I understand wanting our team to be discussed incessantly by the media, but I really don't think it's as bad for the Ravens fans as for many other teams. [especially after the Ravens started showing that they were going to have a winning season last year, which, for every team except the Cowboys, is pretty much what you have to do to be talked about.]

I love the way your team plays defense. As good or maybe even slightly better than us. I believe that there wont be much scoring in either game that we play this year but I believe our offence is better than yours. Your running game is better because of your superior offensive line. Flacco did good his rookie year but not as good as Big Ben yet. Our recievers could be the reason we beat you at least once and hopefully twice. Both games will be dont miss games for everyone who loves real football.

We have a very good team but i doubt the Steelers are getting scared guys. They have not exactly went backwards either and until we can prove that we can stop the Ben/ward connection we are going to have an uphill battle like last year. I dislike the Steelers as much as any Ravens Fan but i am honest about this. Can you imagine if it were Walker against ward with ben throwing instead of Sanchez throwing. Would have not been a pretty picture.
