Even if Willis turns it around this year, do you think he will stay a Raven?

ah man, here comes the haters...Feel like there is a McGahee topic every day....

Yes, I think he will stay a Raven. he has worked his butt off all off season and will take control when the season starts. Watching the two pre season games so far I dont think Ray Rice has done anything special to move him into the number 1 spot. I expect Harbaugh to split carries between the two backs for the Carolina game.

I think the OP was asking about seasons after this one.

Oh okay. I thought it was more of the "He's not going to get cut on Sept 5th" kind of thing.

If he stays healthy the tandem backs could get some serious results. Personally I think Ray Rice has a firm hold on the number one position though.

I think if he has a good season they will definitely evaluate the situation and how much money he is asking. However, my opinion is no, even if he has a good season. Also realize for him to have a good season he needs to either beat out Ray Rice, or Ray Rice has to get hurt.

Nothing was worse than that. I'm pretty sure losing in the AFC CG wasn't as bad as the neverending Boldin threads.

I jest. The loss was worse, but the endless Bolding talk makes the McGahee talks sound like occasional mutterings.

First off I like McGahee but if you think for one second that he is doing this all to help the team your wrong. He probably has figured out that "Hey if I am not starting by the end of my contract, I'm out" so he wants to raise what people are going to pay him by showing good work ethic. McGahee is a legitimate starter and there are many teams that could use his skills and would be willing to pay.

Bigger and stronger doesnt matter much because next season hes what 28-29, history tells us HBs in their late 20s decline badly, especially after they get themselves a long extension and have an injury history.

Who cares if he worked his butt off this season? thats what hes supposed to do every year. No player comes before the team.

Absolutely ridiculous didn't we agree the other day that the Willis topics are getting old. Look if we are going to talk about Willis can we at least wait until mid season then re evaluate the situation. Ray Rice is a good back blah blah blah we know how the story goes "What have you done for me Lately" Everyone will praise Willis when he dominates and if he out plays Rice (which I believe he will) then the threads will be "Ray Rice #1?" Willis has worked his butt off and he will not allow Rice to out play him so let's just hold off on these Willis topics until we actually watch him play during regular season. I'm begging you please stop this is getting out of hand

Its hard to stay. I didn't think we'd replace Mccalister but we did. It's clear Harbaugh wants to win games. Mcgahee seems so inconsistent. Im a supporter so I hope he has a good year. As far as the starting position goes I dont think right now Mcgahee has the edge over Rice. Not only is Rice seeming to be faster then Mcgahee, he catches in the back feild better then Mcgahee has shown he can. He looked weak agianst the Jets 2nd/3rd String D but looked great during the Skins game. Its tough to say. In the NFL anything can happen. But if he doesnt do well this year, he could possiably be traded. I dont think its out fo the question. Everyone knows its good to have a variety of backs.. so we may just keep him for that reason.

i dont see him going anywhere because he is still a great back. since when has a player be perfect every year it doesnt happen and then add the injuries that he has played thru and came back from. i think that our coaching staff knows what kind player we have in him and will retain him but more than likely at a much lower price.
Another year of Cam means another year of failure oh well theres always 2012.

No Huddle + No Cam= Winning Offense

I never said I hated the guy. I want him to stay with Rice. They're a great 1,2 punch.

Where do you guys get this **** that Willis only cares about himself and not the team? He is a very humble guy. Please put up a link or something taking me to this article or wherever you got this intel from.

willis will leave next year for two reasons, one He deserves to be the #1 in an offense and we have Rice to take that role... Two he will want more money, and we will be looking to sign several key players and find a receiver.

so with two legit 1's and a bevy of other talent tosign, one of the 1's leaves....
The 2011 Ravens Defense could be the best we have ever seen... at least through week 1
