New Forum User Photo/sig Questions

When I go to edit my account an error pops up and says I can't do so, is this because im a new forums user and still on the practice squad? Does posting more stuff get my forums account upgraded so I can have a sig and photo?

This might have to do with you being a new user. But I would think you can update a avatar. I see people with 1 posts doing this all the time.

25 posts does unlock some features, and when you hit that post count you are "officially a member"

that would be helpful because I was trying to figure that out to. I figured out the avatar but the sig had me scrathing my head...

I'm still trying to grasp all this... I am new as of today, and I'm having trouble finding one location to go to find some answers to my questions: like about the avatar thing (what is it, how can i upload one. do i have to make my own or can i get it from somewhere); about the signature thing (but after some reading I'm guessing it has to do with needing to make 25 posts or something)...

If anyone can just lay out the basics (for people like me who aren't so computer savy) it would be so helpful and very appreciated.
