Most Impressive Players: Ravens Vs Jets

36 posts in this topic

Offense- 1st string looked pretty good overall. The o-line handled the pass rush pretty well (the Jets were blitzing a lot). Mason looked great. And Harper looked pretty good as well.

Flacco Looked great. Beside the one pass were he missed Rice i think he played a pretty flawless game. He was making great (accurate) throws and showed great poise.

Cam really impressed me as well. I think he showed last night that he is not afraid to let flacco air it out this year if needed. No way we will ever throw that much in a game by choice (we were throwing almost every play) but he showed we were capable of airing it out.

Rice looked Ok as did willis but since Rice was with the first team i would give willis the edge in this game.

Defense- gooden looked good, as did Burgess, barnes and Mcclain. We can't go wrong with any of those guys taking Scott's place but it looks like it will be Gooden though.

Also really impressed with Pryce, he was getting consistent pressure all night and no one has mentioned him yet. I was really impressed with our entire first string D though really.

Yeah but running with the number 1 team with an amazing OLine and a pro bowl FB, you would think he could put up better numbers. I mean Willis was getting the ball from a handoff and there were already 2 to 3 guys in the backfield already to tackle him. I just hope both these guys can put up solid numbers with the starting line up but like last weeks game I have to give the edge to McGahee. Hopefully Harbs changes it up for the Panthers game and lets Willis and Ray split carries with the starters.

Next week you don't have to worry about Rex Ryan the second team will look great with an average O-line including McGahee.

The same is true of Rice. And I understood that point when you made it the last time (about him running with the first team) but it's also true that he's running against the first team. It's all relative.
And while it's a great O-Line, it's much better in pass protection than run blocking, especially on the evidence of last night.

I was really impressed with the first string's pass blocking. Run blocking was a different story. If they wanted and room at all they'd have to break or shake a tackle. The backups on the O-line were pretty terrible in every way. Oher was impressive again I though.

Were we watching the same game, Dave? Flacco got rocked numerous times, even if he wasn't technically sacked a lot. I thought our blocking overall was sub-par.

I was very impressed with T-Good and Kruger, who has done a heckuva job filling in for T-Sizzle I think, and he certainly "earned" that #99 ;)

Kelley Washington has also stepped up his game and is making plays down the field; I can see him as our 3rd WR as strange as that sounds.

I just can't wait until saturday because this was a horrible game to access. This game was NULL in my book. I didn't get as much as I did from the 'skins game.

The only time they got anywhere near him was when the sent 5 or 6 guys, which they did alot. If they're gonna send the house all the offensive line has to do is make sure Flacco has enough time to get the ball to a reciever. When they sent 4 he had all day.
