Ps Game 2 - Jets At Ravens

I'm sorry but thats just not true. You forget that Oglesby and Ivy were the other backup CBs... and Walker is 100% better than those 2 bums.

I'm not saying he is starting material, but when C-Mac and Rolle were down, he filled in as good as we could ask for.

Yes very ugly from the 2nd/3rd strings... And you can bet there wont be any "Make Troy Smith the starter" threads either.

Night ladies and gentleman... early day at work tomororw.

Am I the only one who thinks Jaworski and Gruden have been all over the Jets and Sanchez's jockstrap? It seems like all night they've been hyping about how this Jet team and Sanchez have great things ahead for them.

Well, that's enough of that for one night... A win is a win and all that, but may there be some mercy in the film room.

I thought they were pretty fair. They gave the Ravens their props too. Lol they just could not stop talking about Ngata, and they were kind of high on Flacco. I'm sure we all would have prefered a strictly Ravens commentation, but you can't have everything.

look at that stat franny.. 17 INT returned for TDs.. most in NFL since 04

I was driving home from work, so I missed it. But, I'd like to include fumble returns in that tally, too; the Ravens have had quite a few impressive ones since 2000, that's for sure.

Thank God thats over. I went into half time all grins. That second half was stomach turning. Loved the Ngata pick 6.

I liked what I saw generally in the 1st quarter, missed the 2nd quarter and saw bits of the 3rd. Looked a bit messy down the stretch but good to see a key stop made by back ups. Fair assessment?

i was impressed with kruger and webb's play.. that was good to see..

absolutely appalled by the backup line's play.. troy didnt help that cause either

what the heck was walker doing? in every facet he was destroyed

special teams was horrible with the exception of sam koch and steve h. and saw edgar jones making some nice tackles

loved the play of mcclain at lb.. he was all over the place

and let me say RAY RICE IS A MONSTER

I think the fact that you missed the second quarter is crucial. That's where things really started to look ugly.

O-Line didnt look to hot.
Troy played horrible.
Kruger was all over the place.
Starting Defense was lights out.
Flacco looked great, need better protection though.

Ahh, probably a good thing then. I would have lost my patience otherwise! Bring on the regular season lol, I wanna see starters for four quarters!!!

I'm not saying I wanted them to comment only on the Ravens. But it seems like alot of the praise they were giving NY wasn't exactly earned in that game. They acted like Sanchez's final pass redeemed himself from his horrible performance over all. Or that Ryan would be co-savior to the Jets along with Sanchez himself. I mean, at least Flacco and Harbs have earned their praise. There really wasn't all that much in their performance to warrant the praise Sanchez was getting from Jaworski and Gruden. Granted it's only preseaon, but the Jet starting Oline was getting demolished by the Ravens' defense. *shrugs*

That and I wouldn't exactly have called Ryan's attitude "bravado" to be honest.

Monday nights perseason game Baltimore vs. the Jets was more than a nail bitter. As I set on the side of the bed praing to that we would some how pull this one out.( our father whoart in......) All I could see was we were playing ouselves. Is this what it looks like for other teams when they face Baltimore? maddness.....

And what a great opportunity to get a small look at what Rex Rayn and a few other Raven additions will do for the Jets. They will be a team to be recked with!

My hats off to Rex he is and will always be a Raven...but I am so glad we don't have them on our schedule for the regular season. I never like to see familes fight it's just to much work. lol

part of the problem with the game is that we tried to throw downfield, instead of just hitting a check down in the event of Rex's 4-6 blitzs...thats what undid the bears past 85, simple short throws undoes the 4-6.

Lol, check this out:

Jon Gruden is a great addition to the MNF broadcast booth this year – far more insightful than Joe Chardonnay. But is it just us, or does Evil Chucky, with his sinister grin, always look like he's devising new and gruesome ways to rip Ron Jaworski's heart from his chest cavity?

According to the effusive praise from the Monday Night Football broadcast team, Baltimore’s second-year quarterback is quite a calming influence in the huddle. In fact, sources tell us that Dr. Murray prescribed 20 milligrams of joeflacco to Michael Jackson the night that he died.

Yeah I like the new MNF commentator cast. Tirico and Jaws are excellent as always, Jon Gruden brings a nice calm but intelligent football knowledge guy in there alongside Jaws' excitable personality.

I actually liked Kornheiser, but this group definitely meshes together a lot better and offers far more insight.
