Guys what you need to remember about Bleacher Report is it fans writing. They cull their information from BR.com, Scout, the Sun, 24x7, ESPN, SI. Sporting News and the NFLN. None of their "reporters" have any real access to the team as far I know, and its no different then the guys here who write what they think about stuff. I have seen Mike Duffy's and Aaron Wilson's stuff over there with just a few words changed. Many of the reporters are teenagers/college students who want to be sports writers. I remember when the webmaster was spamming all the MB's looking for reporters. That is pretty much the reason we kill Bleacher Report links here.

I think i am now dumber for having read that. I read about a paragraph in and stopped reading. It doesnt make any sense. They talk about Dilfer's 46.1 QB rating and dont mention FLacco's which was 80.1. Peyton Manning is one of the two best QBs in the league right now. his QB rating in his first year was 71.2. What does that tell you?

About leading a passing game that was ranked 28th: WE ARE A RUNNING TEAM! We ranked 4th in the league last year in the run. That is our identity year in and year out. That has been our game plan: time of possession (ranked number 1 last year), Defense (#2 last year), and run the ball (#4).

Numbers dont tell the whole story as well. Flacco stepped up big in crucial moments last year. And he got a lot better as the season went on.

Yeah, it's some angry anti-fan who just writes a lot of articles and is in love with himself - for no good reason I might add. Bleacher Report has basically thrown away any chance it had of being a legitimate, secondary source of sports info by allowing these types of unique individuals an unfiltered voice.

I read it yesterday and started to respond... then I realized how hard it is for me to interact with people like the writer of the article. No matter how well written your response, people like that are immune to logic, intelligence and thoughtful discussion.

Yeah, there would really be no point. As noted above, the stats she cites are not valid comparisons and her analysis is anything but unbiased. :D

Bleacher Report sucks, I would rather read this message board to try to get or confirm information than read that amatuer bulls*** atleast in a forum like this one you have to back up every claim you make with facts or else it's not taken seriously or written of as an opinion. These guys think that they are hot shots I guess.

Oh, and Bleacher Report randomly solicits people to write for them, as do several other sites of that nature, as near as I can tell. I've gotten a few emails asking me to write for these types of sites, and it's based on nothing more than the fact I made the mistake of letting someone get a grip on my email address.

Joe had more TD's, more yards, & a Higher rating than Kerry Collins Last year. Everyone had the Titans as one of the strongest teams in the NFL. Didn't they go like 10-0 at the beginning? He certainly didn't put up Manning numbers, but he played well in his rookie season. This article is a joke.

This is probably why the website I wrote for isn't really taking off. It's basically the same as Bleacher Report, but more of a hands-on feel. Same difference as posting on here, though. -_-

And not to toot my own horn (OK, I am tooting my own horn), I'm a better writer than this guy. Much better.

I didnt click the link and I dont plan to but I am pretty sure what I am about to say is true anyway.

If you guys hate these "reporters" so much, stop supporting them. I bet that page has advertisements all over it. Everytime you click the link or post the link, someplace like... oh I dont know a teams message board where a ton of other people will click it, you are helping them get page hits. Which means they will continue to get paid good money for the garbage they post because they can show advertisers that their site is actually being viewed.

So the lesson for the day is, if you are sick of seeing the garbage, STOP SUPPORTING IT. Not only do you support it by clicking the link yourself but your basically giving them free advertising by posting it here, so every person who reads this thread can click it. Seeing as though its about Flacco, I can imagine there will be a lot of people who do. So, pat yourself on the back, you just helped keep the garbage website going.

Well said. I say, close the thread and remove the link (keep the thread here as a lesson, though), so that no one else does the same in the future. We don't want traffic being driven to Bleacher Report articles like this.

The only reason I posted this was because it showed up on CBSsports when I went to the Ravens page there. Honestly it is nothing to worry about because the guy who wrote the article is a Raiders fan and well Jamarcus Russell is a clown. I probably won't ever go to bleacherreport again unless I write an article on how Cowboys and Steeler fans are so bandwagon they couldnt name ten players on their team.

Ha! A kid (Steeler fan) in the shipping department at my work was talking crap last year and couldn't even name the Steelers QB! It was like I was in the twilight zone.

I'm not even going to waste the time it would take to read the article, it is a bleacher report. The bleacher report has sent me several emails requesting that I write an article for them about my team the Raven's. I was thinking to myself "Are you freaking crazy, I'm not a sports writer, just a fan". So who know where the get their articles and writers to publish the crap that they publish.

Worst part is, in his bio, he says he's a Raiders fan that'll defend Al Davis to no end against "uninformed morons" (or something to that effect.)

I don't see how anyone can defend Al Davis, period -- not even a Raiders fan. -_-

Without question, a much better writer. See, we need to make our own legitimate sports analysis site...

This guy's justification for Flacco being a terrible quarterback are:
-He's ugly (I personally think he's a sexy guy no ****) and he has a unibrow (false)
-He fumbles when getting hit by James Harrison (who doesn't)
-He plays not to lose

This last point gets me a little bit because you only have to look at the Titans playoff game to see that it was his long TD bomb to Mason, and that clutch throw and catch to Heap, to see that he can win games for us.

Regardless, this guy is a moron
