Are There Any Raven Fans Outside Of Baltimore?

569 posts in this topic

Yes, Knoxville, TN here!

Go Ravens!!!

I'm about 2 hours away in the Tri-Cities, Bristol, TN to be exact. Most NFL fans around here are fans of these teams from most to fewest: Titans, Steelers, Redskins. So many Steelers fans here and in Bristol, VA you would think it was southwest Pennsylvania. I work in retail and occassionally I will see someone in Ravens gear but they're pretty few and far between.

Melbourne, Australia, here. Was born & raised here, but been to Baltimore once (though sadly, not during an NFL season).

First fell in love with Baltimore (the city) back in the 90s, when I used to watch Homicide: Life on the Street. Since then, been able to get into NFL more and more and, well, it just felt right to cheer for the Ravens. I'm also a big rugby (league & union) fan, and love hard-hitting defence, so again, the Ravens felt like a natural fit.

Heading back to Baltimore next year (I hope), for Maryland Death Fest, and will hopefully be able to get back over again a few months later and catch some games. On that note, a quick question: how quickly do AFC North games @ M&T Bank sell out? I figure if I'm going to head over, may as well catch a derby or two.

Surprised you are a NFL and rugby union/league fan seeing how most victorians love AFL and nothing else

What can I say? I had a good sporting upbringing. AFL just doesn't move me in the same way that rugby or NFL does.

Classic Aussie bonding. Go Ravens' defence!

Yep. Offence puts you in the position to win games, but defence is what ultimately wins you games. If you manage to get a pyschological advantage on your opponant with some massive hits from the defence, all the better.

Hey everyone, new to the board here! Huge fan here from New Jersey! I started getting into football and watching it when I was around 7 years old, and The Ravens had just become a team. I remember my parents asking me what my favorite team was and I said The Ravens. When they asked why, I said because they looked like evil villains to me, and as a kid I always rooted for the villains haha. Loved their defensive skills and how they would just punish the other teams! Here I am today at 24 bleeding purple! Go Ravens!

Seems the same around here in knoxville. Mostly Titans fans. I have a co-worker who is a Redskins fan and every other word out his mouth is RGIII. My cousin is die-hard Steelers fan, so that makes things fun.

There is a small Ravens fan base down here in charlotte, nc but I have a feeling Steve Smith might convert some fans if the panthers cant get their offense together this season.

How about Oklahoma? Anyone there? I moved to OK six months ago, and I've seen one Ravens piece of swag. Someone had a sticker on their car. I have one too! So how about it Okies?

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada!  Started watching more NFL in junior high after only watching CFL as a kid.  I was immediately drawn to the gritty defensive style of the RAVENS!!
