Are There Any Raven Fans Outside Of Baltimore?

569 posts in this topic

Hey all!

Just thought I'd let you all know that if you've recently moved to, or just visiting, San Francisco, we have the place for you on Sundays!

I'm a co-founder of a group called Ravens in the Fog, http://facebook.com/ravensinthefog. We meet-up every game (typically Sunday morning) at an establishment called Thieves' Tavern on 14th and Guerrero.

This past season durring the Super Bowl, we were featured in The Baltimore Sun and Baltimore ABC 2 Morning News - so clearly we're legit.

There's about 20 or so of us for every game, bartenders are legit, the venue is very Bmore, and they let us bring and order whatever food we want!

Feel free to join! Cheers!

There are a few of us in MoCo MD but not many. We represent amoungst the Redskin fans and are proud to do so. Ravens product soooo much better in every way, especially their fans.

Any Ravens bars near Bethesda? Moving up from DC soon. I've been to Mason Inn a few times in Glover Park, and it was probably the greatest environment I've been in outside Baltimore. Champagne splashes following the Patriots win in the AFC Championship game - WOW

I've been to the Mason Inn although its a great place I prefer going to Arlington, VA to watch the games at Rock Bottom Brewery in Ballston Commons Mall with the Baltimore Ravens NOVA/DC meetup groups which is going into its third year.  The restaurant has the back bar reserved for us with our own bartender as well as a 72 inch HD tv to watch the games, this is probably the only place outside of Maryland where you can have a Crab Pretzel and a cold can of Natty Boh while watching the game.  The bar is close to the Ballston Metrorail station on the Orange line, and if you don't want to forgo the problems of weekend Metro service there is a huge reasonably priced parking garage in the Mall.

Here is the website with more info:

You may also want to check out On Tap online's football bars issue for bars where Ravens fans hang out which comes out around the start of football season at http://www.ontaponline.com  which will have the various bars where various pro and college football fans hang out.   Ravens Nation is growing in the DC area!

Ravens fan down in Capitol Heights now.  I haven't seen my neighborhood's football allegiances yet, but I'm sure they know mine if they've seen the license plate on my car.  The only real Ravens bar I know of is RJ Bentleys in College Park, but maybe there are others I don't know about.

Think im the only long time Ravens fan here in Northern Kentucky ha. Can almost see Bengals stadium from where i live so its kinda fun being a Big Ravens fan in Bengal territory, bengals have never won a superbowl so rubbing it in is nicee. Have Seen new people starting to like the ravens around here though, but thats prob just the bandwagon thing going on, since comming of Superbowl win

I have German ethnicity, too. When you come drop a German girl off and leave here to mingle with me and my crowd. Cheers.

Yep.  Wear purple loud and proud in Reno, Nevada, where Kaepernick played for UNR and now  plays for some team over the hill from here.

Go Ravens

Born and raised in Nebraska, but have been a ravens fan since 2005, and that is when I started getting into football.

How do you think those Huskers are going to do this season?

I see them winning a lot of games, because they have an easier scheldule this year compared to past years. But I don't think the team is very good this year. Good enough to beat the easy opponets, but will be blown a part by strong teams. They might make it to the Big 10 championship, but I don't see them beating Ohio State or Wisconsin.

Doing an internship in Atlanta for a good portion of this fall. Any Ravens bars or hangouts?

UMDan,

There is a huge following in Atlanta actually. The group is pretty organized too.. Google search "ATL Ravens". They are on facebook and have a web page I believe.

I should also mention I run a Boston fan club that is rapidly growing (super bowl party was 75+), week 1 this year 60 or so. We go by Ravens Nation North. Comes up on google right away if anyone is looking!

!Here's to Ravens Nation, and to the boys hopefully righting that ship sunday against the Browns.

Cheers

I grew up in CT and now live just outside of Boston. But during middle school and all through college my family vacationed every summer in Ocean City MD.

This was in the mid 90's and there was this crazy guy called "The Stallion" who had a sports show on the Ocean City local TV station. This guy was so enthusiastic about the Ravens...holding his hands up like claws, screeching like a bird. It was hilarious. Basically I got into the Ravens because of him!

So I was a fan since 96...not a die hard really but when they won their first Super Bowl I obviously was hooked. Been a real die hard ever since then. I have to wear a piece of Ravens gear everyday of the year now.

Of course these days its getting me a lot of dirty looks and negative remarks living 10 minutes from Boston ;)

Bingo Baby,

I am co-founder of Ravens Nation North. We flock to Game On- Fenway for game day. The GM their is a die hard Bmore guy believe it or not. We had 65+ fans at the week 1 party.

For anyone living near Boston or passing through.. Ravens Nation North is the place/group to get rabid with fellow ravens fans. Come rep the purple and black with us in Beantown! Crab cakes, crab chips, raven swag, tee shirts, etc.

Get all the details about our meetups at:

Cheers

Hi everyone, I'm a new member (since today) and I'm from San Jose, Costa Rica, Central America... That's right!!!! Though this is a soccer-fanatic country, there are a lot of people who love football too (actually we have an amateur league since 2 years ago, so it's kinda new the sport in Costa Rica).

Supporting the black and purple!!!!!!!! 18_1_328.gif

Welcome to the ravens page

If you are looking for Ravens fans outside of Baltimore, just go to Facebook.  Type the name of the city and Ravens fans and you will find the local fan group.  Just about every city in the US has a group.  Some are very large and very active and have group tickets and parties when the Ravens are in town.  If you cannot find a group in your city, start a facebook fan page and create your own group.  You will love meeting all the people and watching the games with fellow fans.  We have about 12 people who meet in Kansas City, it started with 2! A local bar gives us the space and sound.  We have almost 100 people on our page from all over the Midwest.  (Midwest Nest- Kansas City Ravens Fans) We had over 100 fans stop by our tailgate when the Ravens came to play the Chiefs.  Good luck and GO RAVENS!
