State of the Message Board (5/3/07)

Alright, so the message board has been open for about a week now and has already topped 1,000 posts and 250 registered members.

So even though the board's only been open for a short period of time, what do you guys think so far?

What suggestions would you like to see?

(Weird how I'm asking this, even though I have no power here...LOL)

Personally, I think the board's gotten off to a good start and should only improve, especially when major events in the NFL occur, like the start of training camp and preseason, and ultimately the start of the regular season.

However, I really think that there could be more interactivity involved here.

I mean, since this IS the OFFICIAL message board of the Baltimore Ravens, maybe more discussion with the Ravens staff, players, coaches, and personnel would be a good idea?

Maybe a Q&A thread for the bloggers, like Daniel Wilcox and Josh Lukin and Drew Olson and Mike Duffy, etc.

I would like to think that, as a fan, a deeper appreciation would be made if there was some sort of connection between the guys we see on the field and the guys whose articles we read and whatnot, y'know?

I know that might be difficult to achieve, seeing as how many members of the Baltimore Ravens organization would have busy schedules, but maybe a once-a-month type thing could work? Maybe an online chat session? Things of that nature...

But otherwise, to the admins and moderators, keep doing what you're doing, and hoping to see this board continue to expand...

Well, obviously, I wouldn't expect for that idea to occur DURING the season. But, seeing as how there's a lot of downtime in the offseason between conditioning and whatnot before training camp starts, maybe some interactivity with them could be nice...

Plus, it's better they be on here than getting into trouble during the offseason
