i for one will closely watch this game since the jets fans feel Sanchez is their savior already. Lets see what this kid does against our first team D....oh Sanchez goes 2/8 with 2 INTs

im really excited about this game
With Divens on IR i expect Kelly Talavou to play very well and lock up a spot in the next few weeks

Im also excited to see - Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, Justin Harper, Edgar Jones, Oniel Cousins (what did he learn last week), Haloti Ngata, Tavares Gooden and Foxworth (what did he also learn last week, if he doesnt step up hell be playing nickel very soon)

I am really pumped NOT for a pre-season game that means absolutely nothing!

Okay ya know what that's really insensitive and uncalled for. These preseason games are all Detroit has going for it as a city.

How can you not be with the great depth and battles we have going on in the preseason? Sure it's no regular season game, but I'm anxious for the next game already.

4-0 in the Preseason is something to be proud of! Let's put a positive spin on that 0-16 regular season!

Anyawys, I'm curious to see how the game turns out. Mostly because I want to see if we can keep up the performance from last week. By performance, I mean collective performance. All strings played well this week. So we'll find out if the Ravens were that good, or if the Redskins were that bad after we play the Jets.

I just want Ryan to see what he left behind coming after his offense every down.

I would really like to see the pre-season shortened to 2 games, and the regular season extended to 18. I love having a chance to see the depth of the team in pre-season, but 4 games seems to be way too long.
speaking of depth that is what was so impressive in the redskins win. We dominated them the entire game from the starters to the guys that will probably never even see action in the regular season. I expect the same on monday.

So I guess since the Ravens went to the AFC championship with a rookie coach and QB, AND Rex is obviously trying to be the Ravens North, Sanchez will be the starter. (I wonder if he has a 99?) So this makes as much sense as Rex's ramblinings but Football is football preseason or not.

The subtitle of this thread makes you wonder if your a Jets fan or a Ravens fan "rex ryan and his jets are gona eat RAVEN left overs!!!"
You also don't even know when the game is so calm down.
Why even make this thread?

ahhh i'm just glad to finally see some football. I occupy my time during the summer by being at the beach and stuff like that most of the time, but it seems to end so quickly so having football to look forward to at this time of year is a great thing even if the games don't mean anything it get's me exited for the fall to come around instead of wishing the summertime would never end. lol but that's just me. I absolutely can't wait to demolish the Kansas City Chiefs week 1. Matt Cassel's OFFICIAL Welcome to the NFL party.

Lol, I almost feel sorry him. Many, perhaps most, people think he's a fraud, and even if he does well later in the year the first impression (in KC) is going be him getting torn apart.

All the same; it's going to be a nice opener. :) I can't say I feel as confident about week 2 though.

Neither do I, but I can't say that I'm not confident about week 2 at all. San Diego is a good team, better than their record last season but so are the Ravens either way it is going to be a good game. I think the Purple and Black is ready although it's very very tough to win 2,000 miles away from home

Oakland put their hope in that very thing in an AFC championship game in january 2001.

Actually we are lucky we get San Diego out of the way week 2. The past few seasons the Chargers have come out of the gate sputtering.

First 5 games
2008 - 2 wins
2007 - 2 wins

This way if we beat them early. Then when the season progresses, it will look impressive that we beat San Diego.

In 2006 we played them in week 4 (3rd game for them) and came away with a win w/ McNair throwing for just 158 yards.
