I don't Harper lacks the ability to catch. I think he has good hands. I think he lacks consistency. The mistakes and drops he makes are mental and out of anxiety. I think the more comfortable he gets on the field the more consistent he will be.

Wide receiver is covered, Running back is covered, tight end is covered, o-line is covered, quarterback is aparently covered 5 times, what more could a ravenous defense ask for. Merry Christmas D.

Sounds like something druken Big Ben would do. Unfortunately that girl was forcefully taken. And we will be bringing back the glory soon enough.

Anyways you have three posts, all praising the Steelers. I think you are on the wrong boards.

But they could say the same thing--"Ray Lewis would just stab the people involved to death." They beat us fair & square... we have to be humble in the future, instead of disrespectful a**holes all the time.

You are right it is wrong to accuse Ben of malicious behavior towards that woman when the investigations are not complete.

Personaly I dont believe Ben assaulted the woman.

If it was a 12 year old boy, that I would believe.

Okay, bub, I think you'll find any disrespect of the Steelers on this board a rare occurrence. We understand they beat us three times, we watched all of them. We understand that they are the reigning champions but that doesn't mean we should bow to them.

It's not asking you to bow down to the Steelers, just that if you make fun of Ben for the alleged rape then you can expect the Steelers to make fun of Ray for the alleged murder. So it's hypocritical to laugh at Ben but get angry when they make fun of Ray

And all of our positions are filled with good players, our O-Line is going to be beastly for a long time, our RB's are going to be used... abunch, we have a probowl TE and a 2nd string who WAS a starter for one of the dominant teams in the NFC, our QB... every1 knows his story, our WR's are underestimated/undervalued, the only reason people claim that they are bad, is that just about every other position we have is filled with just about an Elite player, not to mention that they were DOUBLE COVERED just about every play.... and they still made plays. Believe me, teams out there would kill for players we have on our depth chart.... I'd rather have our roster as is now, than have to give up some people for some premadonna cry baby WR.

Damn I swear some people who want WR on this forum, make it sound like our WR's are no counts... just because they aren't a Larry Fitzgerald, or a Chad Johnson
Swear all you want, and while you're at it get your facts straight on who said what - just because some of us believe we need WR help, like 99% of the league, media, etc., doesn't mean we want Larry Fitzgerald or Chad Johnson. Some of us think the position could use some help and we ought to reinforce it (drops, injuries and temporary retirements anyone?) and you lobbing cute commentary in my direction won't change the fact everybody either thinks we need to improve the position or is in the 'we can settle for less at the position' category.

And no, no one's going to murder anyone to take in our 3rd through 8th string WR's. We've got some good players there, and if Justin Harper finds a cure and Washington is who I think he is, we'll be better than fine, especially with our TE and RB passing situation. That said, I stand by my original view - we could use some help at the position and there is no reason not to try to get the best at each spot.

Exactly.
Folks... this is a team who walked up to a bully (us), punched us in the face, and went home with our girl. Let's not fall into this false bravado trap again... and give them their due.

I'm confident with our WR's if this is the depth chart.

Mason
Clayton
Williams
Harper
Washington
Riley
No Way Harper is ahead of Washington first of all.

Second, Clayton has a torn hamstring which could linger all year.

Third, Williams has failed to stay on the field in the last two years and cannot be counted upon.

Fourth, Mason is 35, coming off surgery and retirement. He's solid, but can we really put our entire season on him not getting hurt?

Harper looked no better than Clarence Moore in his first preseason action. Too Many drops on relatively easy passes.

So basically Opening Day you're looking at Mason, maybe Williams, Washington, and Harper.

To me that is not sufficient. Everyone knows injuries happen in the NFL and if someone goes down, we have a really weak group.

We don't necessarily need a pro bowler but I'd feel a lot more confident with one or two more guys like Washington.

Idk about anyone else, but I like keeping the trash talking on the football subject, not what happens out of it, however there is an exception when they drop the ray lewis bomb, I drop the LJW bomb (Little Jen Worthlessbugger)

but a majority of the time the steeler fan is going to drop the lewis bomb first, granted we are just as capable, and I'm not saying that all steeler fans are like that, cause god knows I've met the ones that are actually a fan of the game.... hell some on these boards lol

1) was using them as an example, because we are listing just about any Elite named WR that they use F.A. in the same sentence with
2)Don't get me wrong, it could use some help, but we don't need to drop a ton of money on it, I'd be more worried about who become our F.A. cause I'd rather keep Gaither and Ngata over any WR
3) Wasn't really targetting you with that, that week I saw alot of other posts about how we need an "elite" WR, but I will stand by the part where our WR's were getting double covered a majority of the time, when we weren't being blitzed, because we only had 2 recievers/tight ends going out at a time, Trust me on this, barring major injuries, we should see a major gain in our passing game with our OLine being beast, and allowing us the use of our TE's
4) Was talking about just about every position on our team, and your probably right, alot of teams wouldn't "murder" for our WR depth, but alot of them would love our 2nd string QB, LB's RB's, TE's, DL, CB, Safety.... I'd gladly take less at the WR position to keep all of that
5) agreed
6) I understand that viewpoint, and mostly agree with it, but as stated, I am not willing to bring some guy in and pay him huge money, and then end up losing ngata and/or gaither

Why? The only one of them who has proven he belongs in the NFL as a starter is an injury riddled 36 year old.
