Editing Profile Information

I'm a new member on the boards and was wondering how to change some of my profile information. When I click the link to edit the info it just gives me this message:

[#1026] You are not permitted to modify all or some of your profile information.

I tried in both Safari and Firefox, both gave the same error message.

Thanks for all your help, sorry if it's something dense I'm just not picking up.

You need 25 posts because of an issues we have had with spammers. There are several threads on this Questions.

Oops sorry, don't know why I didn't bother looking around for it, just figured it was something only I was encountering. Thanks anyway.
