Anyway, so that '06 draft wasn't as legendary after all...

Well, the first-round was boom-or-bust since roughly half of them found success while the other half is questionable. But the rest of that draft class turned out to be very talented.

Just a few names from the rest of the draft:

Dawan Landry
Sam Koch
DeMeco Ryans
Owen Daniels
LenDale White
Leon Washington
Brandon Marshall
Greg Jennings
Devin Hester
Maurice Jones-Drew
Thomas Howard
Freddie Keiaho
D'Qwell Jackson
Winston Justice
Omar Gaither
Rocky McIntosh
Bernard Pollard
Clint Ingram
Anthony Smith
Stephen Gostkowski
Antoine Bethea
Cortland Finnegan

And there's bound to be other great role players I'm missing, as well. But there was definitely talent outside of that 1st round. Unlike the mediocre 2005 draft class, or the soon-to-be-forgotten 2007 draft class.

SEC is an elite conference with Florida playing Florida International and Troy this year?

SEC teams don't even travel out the south for any games. Pac-10 has the hardest road/out of conference schedule than any other conference, with Washington having had the hardest schedule last season. Pac-10 as a conference has had more wins against SEC teams in the BCS era by the way. Not to mention that the Pac-10 went 5-0 in bowl games this past season.

And there is huge SC bias!?...right....SC has the most dominant football program in college football this decade so i'm not surprised that so many people hate on them.

I'm not a big fan of College football, not because I don't like it but because I'm also a die hard hockey fan so splitting time between the Ravens and Flyers (my nhl team) I don't really have much time to devote to watching college football. Anyway, if you go back to 2007, guess who got Lienart benched for Kurt Warner? Survey says.....the Baltimore Ravens! Lienart looked scared in that game, they wind up finding out that Warner can still play ball and are in the Super Bowl the next season. Thank the Ravens...AGAIN just like when Pittsburgh found Roethlisburger after the Ravens but a beating on Tommy Maddox and wound up going 15-1 that year..thanks Ravens. lmao. I know i'm stretching things a bit here but sometimes the world looks a little different through the purple shades. B)

Regarding the OP, did anyone notice the game Leinart had yesterday vs. the Pack?

24-38, 360 yds, 3 TDs/1 INT, 109.5 passer rating.

Not bad... considering it's the preseason.

St. Pierre didn't even play. Guess Leinart won't be dropped to 3rd on the depth chart...

I meant how during before and during the '06 season those guys had such excellent college careers that there was SO much pressure on them to perform at a elite level, and most of them failed to do so.
Reggie Bush cant run from the tailback position, only dangerous in open field and return game.
Vince Young has some personal problems and interception problems, lost his job to kerry Collins.
Matt Leinart lost his job to Kurt Warner.
D'Brickashaw Ferguson I havent heard his name until I just look for who was drafted that year.
A.J. Hawk who I heard was a beast, but I dont think he is THAT bad.
Vernon Davis who is a bust bust bust.
Laurence Maroney who disappointed every fantasy owner in the world.

The only decent players I could find that were taken in the 1st round were: Mario Williams, Ernie Smims, Cutler, Ngata, Antonio Cromartie, Davin Joseph(Pro bowl guard for tampa), Santonio Holmes(have to amitt he is ok), DeAngalo Williams, and Joseph Addai (who is on the decline).
