New Avatars

I was checking out the Redskins forum [forgive me, I was trying to see what they were saying about last night's game] and they have some great avatars that are little football figures in various poses. They looked really great. Is there any way to have a purple-uniformed version for us to use? Or is it too much work for the few of us that don't have personal avatars?

BTW, I'm assuming that they are supplied avatars, since so many people seem to have them.

We don't supply the avatars. You need to create/upload your own. Make sure you check the Code of Conduct regarding the rules.

Well, you DO supply SOME avatars. That's where I got mine.
But if you don't want to add any, that's fine, it's your forum...

I can make something like that for you if you want, they're not that hard to make if I have a picture I can cut the player out from.

I appreciate the offer, but then I'd have to join one of the picture hosting sites and it's not worth it to me right now just to have a picture under my screenname. I was taking the lazy way out [and I thought the forum looked neat with most of the avatars being of the same format, but different].

Hehehe I guess Invision supplies those. You don't have to host the picture, it can be uploaded from your hard drive. I will add this to the ever growing list

Thanks for the clarification. Maybe I'll get around to finding a picture to use - or take Corvus up on his generous offer.

But then, that silly little character I use IS purple!

You don't HAVE TO join a pic-hosting site. Many of them are free and don't require registration at all. [url="http://www.tinypic.com/"]Tinypic.com[/url] is my preferred host. Just simply copy the link (marked "Direct Link for Layouts"...should end with a .jpg extension) and paste it in the avatar section of My Controls, and voila. New avatar.

wait no haha, you don't have to join anything. I would upload it from my computer and I'd simply have to give the URL of the avatar to you and all you have to do is put it in your avatar link and you'd have your avatar that way.
