I don't think the coaching staff cares that much about popularity. If they did, Chris McAlister never would've been benched last season or cut this offseason, and Willis McGahee would've remained the starter.

This Raven team has a smile on my face. Like I said, they are playing on a different level and speed than the Redskins. They're excited about playing this game and it's good to see domination no matter what type of game it is. Things are looking good.

It's not even comparable, Flacco had only two posessions. nobody is saying that Smith isn't playing good. I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say that we like to know that we have a back up that can be effective running the offense but you saying this like Flacco needs to PROVE that he's better than smith is kinda far fetched

No one rioted over McGahee or McCalister. Flacco loses position it is over ESPN, NFL Network, and would be the biggest news of the week. The office isn't brave enough to take that risk.

Also the risk of Flacco losing his composure.

That is where you are wrong. As a football player you must consistently prove you are better the player behind you. Where are you getting your ideology.
