Obviously don't think it will stay like this but what are your surprises from this after first your first glance?

I love seeing Onel Cousins and David Hale move up the depth chart. Both of these guys have the size to make our OL be a formidable wall. They just need to hone in on their skills.

Surprised that M. Smith is higher than Harper, especially since we hear good things coming out of camp with Harper.

And it will be interesting to see how Krueger plays out in all of this.

I think it's kind of amusing how Hale's BR.com profile list his position as "Guard/Tackle", and he's a center on the depth chart. The only Offensive Line position he's not listed as on his profile.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to convert Hale to Center. Apparently Matt Birk has become a mentor to Hale, and maybe the Ravens seek to capitalize on this.

Look at who our back-up center to Birk is, Robby Felix, an undrafted rookie out of UTEP. The Ravens are looking for other options, in case Birk gets injured.

Good point. Oh well, I'm all for improving Hale. I've always thought he had potential since we drafted him and who better to bring that out than Birk. Also, nice to see Chris Chester at Guard again this year. He did well opening up some holes for McClain, McGahee, and Rice last year. Hopefully, he'll have the same success this eyar.

Is it suprising to anyone to see Chris Carr ahead of Figurs and also Dominique Foxworth ahead of Samari?

And while on the subject, how is Samari doing healthwise?

haha funny. I was being serious. Look, I'm a Ravens fan but obviously not as knowledgeable as the rest of you. I just know that Chris and Domonique are new/sort of new to the team and was wondering about the lineup.

No, it's not surprising to see Carr in front of Figurs for the return game and Foxworth ahead of Rolle. Carr is exceptional returning kicks, while Figur has been very, very hit or miss as of late. As for Foxworth, everyone knew he was being brought in as a starter when we signed him.

Yeah, I'm surprised Gano is second as well. I'm really pulling for him over Hauschka though...
Why? Am I the only one confused by everyone's love affair with Gano? Because if Hauschka wins the position it means that he kicked better than Gano. Which means he is better than Gano. So I don't understand why everyone loves Gano so much more. I mean I like the fact he can kick the ball a mile but I'd rather have the person who is more consistent. And it's not like Hauschka can't kick it far either.

These depth charts are sort of useless. Nakamura plays FS, he even stepped in for Reed when he was out. Zibby plays SS. The depth chart has it the other way around.

And what's up with Bryan Mattison? Did he switch to offense overnight? He played DE his entire career, now he's listed as our backup Guard.

Oglesby ahead of Webb, and Zibby and Naka flip-flopping... but like you said, this depth chart as of right now means next to nothing

At first glance im surprised Smith is ahead of Washington, thats a good thing though, maybe our own guys are ready to step up, and Carr getting most of the KR duties is awesome, im tired of seeing Figurs running up the middle and folding into the fetal position when hes about to get hit, you got speed, use it, spread the field

I LOLed :D . Me too.

I guess I don't care who gets the kicking job - may the best/most consistent man win. We were lucky to have Stover all those years and, yes, we know it.

i go to FSU and know Gano pretty well... he has everything it takes to be a GREAT kicker in the league for many many years... I really hope we dont pass on his rare talent... Not only will he be our kicker, but he is an AMAZING punter so he is benefit to the team is something happens to Koch! Also he is an exceptional athlete, even won some state track and field events in HS
