#10 Minnesota Vikings of the late 60s-70s (Purple People Eaters)
#9 Dallas Cowboys of the late 70s (Doomsday)
#8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers of 2002
#7 Baltimore Ravens of 2000
#6 New York Giants of the 50s (Madison Avenue)
#5 Atlanta Falcons of the late 70s (Grits Blitz)
#4 Kansas City Chiefs of 1969
#3 Green Bay Packers of the 60s
#2 Chicago Bears of 1985

Ravens #7? No way. More like #3.

I really wanted to watch that countdown, because I knew the 2000 Ravens would be on there. But seriously, #7? That is indeed way too low. We dominated that season on the defensive side of the ball. Ugh.

I stopped watching the Top 10 Rookie Seasons too when they did their little bit on Flacco, Ryan, and Roethlisberger, and picked Ben over Flacco and Ryan, specifically.

That was the right choice. I was going to scream if they picked Matt Ryan though.

The 1969 Chiefs are above us? They won a championshilp that year and so did we, but our defense was- well we all know that story.

I forget, how many SBs did the Gritz Blitz win? -_-

They said that the 2000 Ravens weren't higher because of the quarterbacks they faced. So?...
Other teams quarterbacks weren't good? That sounds like a personal problem to me.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, darklight is right... both teams made it to the AFCCG when their QB's were rookies, and LJW (if you haven't gotten the memo yet, Little Jen Worthlessbugger) went 15-1... 17-2 overall, we went 11-5 in season and 13-6 overall... both achievements are great by every means....

I have to say I didn't see this top 10, but if they put Ryan over Flacco, I'd have to smack some ppl

The Gritz Blitz... isn't that some sort of oxymoron..... kind of like the falcons and superbowl victories? (the answer is 0 obviously, even though you were being sarcastic)

and I can't argue with the teams that were of certain decades, because they were the best for multiple seasons

however, WE HAVE THE #1 DEFENSE IN LEAGUE HISTORY, so yeah, that warrants a few spots up... oh well sometime in the future it will be the ravens of the new millenia(sp?)

and it is true, we didn't make the schedule... so the skill of the QB's, not our problem... just an excuse to rate us lower..... no respect

Everytime these guys bring out a top 10 its always biased and underrated teams like us are not on the radar.

Who cares? let them ride the paper champ bandwagons.

The top is always filled up with old teams/players and the usual Cowboys, Steelers, Raiders, Giants, etc.

I'm not sure at all how they are only 7. They set the record for points given up. What else do you want out of a defence?
They want them to be colored yellow and black. Then it's considered a "fair" list. <_<

It is hard to argue against the steel curtain, though. Still...7th for the team that won on defense alone and set many records on the way is moronic.

Ive give up on ESPN/NFL Network. I was a frequent visitor of James Walker's AFC North page on ESPN.com but lately its just been ridiculous, every article about the Ravens somehow incluides the steelers, here is the perfect example, this mornings article about Vick and the Ravens

Adding Vick would undoubtedly mean the end for Beck. Newsome and the coaches like Smith's progress. But Vick could also be used as a wide receiver or slash/Wildcat-type player -- something that could help the Ravens' passing game, which finished 28th in the league last year. Newsome could also just be playing coy, realizing that another Vick landing spot could be division rival Pittsburgh, who beat the Ravens three times last season.

Its ridiculous, did he really have to bring up the steelers? no
