I would love to see a big fan turnout for this game. I know preseason games are not always the must see thing, but this one is on NATIONAL TELEVISION. Lets get down to the Bank and cheer on our team, and show the world how much Baltimore loves FOOTBALL!

Make a night out of it, PRIME TIME BABY!

It'd be weird to watch Rex on the other side of the sideline. But oh well, we'll be watching our Ravens crush those green.. players. Lots of familiar faces in that game. Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard, Big old Rex, and etc. Will Mark Sanchez be behind the line for them? It'd be interesting to watch him play too.

I'll miss those guys, and I'll tune in just because of the uniqueness of the game. Jim, Bart and Rex did a lot for us, but in the end I have faith that the Next Man Up mentality won't let us down.

Not just Bart and Jim, but Cory Ivy and Douglas too. I think there are a few others, I'm just not shure exactly who and how many

I was kind of hoping for a regular season game with the Jets, but I suppose preseason will have to do.

However, if history repeats itself, Rex Ryan will have a lackluster head coaching career with the Jets. Much like Marvin Lewis with the Bengals, and Mike Nolan with the 49ers. Not to mention, linebackers who leave Ray Lewis' side and the Ravens, usually go on to never see the success they had with the Ravens. Bart Scott at least has the perk of staying in basically the same system. Although, I would have liked it Rex went to the Jets and tried to forge his own path. Instead of leaving and trying to take as many Ravens with him as possible. Oh well.

To be fair, Rex made Bart Scott into the player he is now. That stellar '06 season was Ryan's doing more than Scott's. I don't expect Ryan to have much success in New York, he inherits a lackluster offense and anyone who believes the Jets defense will be in the top 5 (doubtful for even top 10) is mistaken.

well just thinking I will be at home on my futon watching with my daughter 3 days before I turn 29 , kinda wish tix werent so costly I can never afford to go again last year I lucked out . oh well , my honest opinion , Rex was not what made the D work. It was Ray and Ngata making calls on the fly changing up , this tactic has been used since 2000/2001 season . ray can read lines well enough to know where and when and who to send. ngata knows from film study when ray makes a call where to make a hole or close one . this type of effective knowledge of your teammates capabilities is what makes the team dangerouse on D not who is coaching . so Rex won't be missed . to be honest Bart wont be either he nearly cost us the game on his own AFC could have been ours but he made a bone head move 15yrd UR. if our guys stay disciplined there will be no missing either douglas was good dont get me wrong remember he did bad in philly only did good again in baltimore. also remember what happened to the last coach to leave for a head coaching spot ......Lewis wants out of cincy made a realy bad choice lol no one can turn them arround till thier front office stops thier non stop watching of The Longest Yard and Grid Iron Gang , rex could have better luck on that note not sure though remember Just End The Season

Like I said, it wasn't even just Marvin Lewis who left for a head coaching job that has ended (and for Lewis at least, is still an ongoing experiment) in failure. Nolan left for his position as 49ers Head Coach. Four seasons and not one winning record or .500 season, ending in his mid season termination.

I really don't see Rex Ryan having a very successful head coaching career either.

Maybe I'm just a mean person, but I don't really have positive feelings for the former Ravens. I hope that Rex follows the same path as previous Ravens DCs. Many people seem to think that it would have been better for the Ravens to have kept Scott rather than Ray Lewis and so I want Scott be exposed as the product of the system that he is. I used to like J.Leo, but I'm getting tired of people acting as though a guy who plays alongside Ed Reed would be anything but good, so I want him to be exposed too.

I understand how you feel about most of the players there, but how is it J. Leo's fault that people are making him out as an elite SS? Don't get me wrong, he was my favorite back up, and I really enjoyed watching how he played, but just figured I'd throw that out there

Yeah - I agree with your post. We have been through 3? D Coordinators and still have managed to be a great D. Lots of people, including the media, underestimate Ray's leadership. Heck, he changes plays on the field. How many LB's can do that well? No one, that I know of, other than Ray. Thanks God he is the one constant on our D!

It isn't his fault at all, but he is no longer a Ravens and therefore my positive feelings toward him are diminshed. I want our team to demonstrate once again that it can easily replace players (defensive ones anyway).
