Ravens Re-signed Rb Cory Ross And K Rhys Lloyd

13 posts in this topic

Ravens re-signed RB Cory Ross and K Rhys Lloyd and waived OLs Mike Kracalik and Ike Ndukwe.

This is a reversal of the move Baltimore made prior to its Week 6 win over the Rams. Ross and Lloyd are back on board to provide depth on special teams. Kracalik and Ndukwe will be re-signed to the practice squad. Oct. 17 - 10:05 pm et

Is there a record for most times signed and waived in a season?, if so we must be getting close!

Probably, but I doubt we're close. A few years ago we kept waiving and re-signing a player, much like Lloyd this year. I

They were both cut AGAIN today so that the following players could be signed to the active roster (from the practice squad). Maybe we WILL set a record.

Mike Kracalik (T, 6-8, 337, 1st-year, San Diego State)

Lee Vickers (TE, 6-6, 275, North Alabama)

Why did we cut Lloyd again??? McAlister is out so we need for the opponent offense to start at the 20 yard line. Lloyd can kick it deep into the endzone everytime.

well at least now we have some depth at for the kicking position and we could choose who does what and when at what time....(kick offs, Extra points, Field Goals...) all that we now have the option to either save Stover for those Long field goals or go with the strong, fresh leg in Lloyd .who has the strength and the potential to Kick those potential game winning field goals

Poor Lloyd, I feel so sorry for the guy.

I think there should be one big thread, combining all the Lloyd threads into one. There is a different thread each week about it...

im sure he's happy with being with the Ravens.....and im sure he could understand why the Ravens have released him, im sure he's grateful we signed him again, and im also sure that Ozzie and his staff and Billick explained to him why they have cut him....

I'm cool with bringing back Rhys Lloyd for the same reasons y'all have...

But Cory Ross, though?...

I mean, he's not much of a runner (from what I've seen), and though he's gotten in better physical shape, I still don't see him doing much other than backing up Yamon Figurs in return duties...

But we already have Ed Reed subbing in for the occasional punt return, so why would we really need Ross? Even if Figurs goes down, we still have players who've returned the occasional kick like Corey Ivy, Mark Clayton, etc.
