Mason Should Get His Chopper Ride

I think Mason should get a helicopter ride into the center of the stadium surrounded by the Marching Ravens performing an epic welcome back song on either the first game of the pre- or regular season.

I know, it's pretty elaborate and probably a little costly (heli-rides ain't cheap) but Mason is a stand-up character that plays for all the right reasons, gives back to his community, and has given superhuman effort throughout his career to help his team win. I think, in what could possibly be his last year of football, we should give him what Chad Steele promised (check "The Byrne Identity: Better Than a Year Ago?" if you don't know what I'm talking about).

I think that if we do it, it'll really kick the season off with a bang and really get the team pumped for the first game. Also, Mase will surely appreciate it, especially after everything that's happened recently.

So what do y'all think?

it was never official, yes, but he could have retired and left us kinda aching at the position. Say w/e you want I think it'd be cool. But really w/e happens happens and the thing I'm most excited about isn't stuff like this it's the Ravens going out and smashin some heads all the way to the end.

I went for the conservative route and said the helicopter was a little over the top. And instead of a band just have T-Pain and Lil Wayne introduce Mason through the tunnel. OR!! Have T-Pain and Lil Wayne come from the sky in a helicopter and announce Mason through the tunnel. OR!!!!!!!!!!! Have T-Pain, Lil Wayne, and Andy Sandberg come from the sky in a helicopter that is carrying a yacht from the Inner Harbor and singing "I'm on a boat" and announce Mason through the tunnel. Epic

We should make a giant terrible towel on one of the corners of the field and just land it on that. Then light it on fire. Then that would cover fireworks too.

Yeah plus I think the world could be better off without the full cast from friends, so they can stay on the yacht... Good idea lol.

Yeah! This is a great idea to land a chopper in the middle of a stadium filled with 70 some thousand fan. There is no kind of danger in that. Is was think we should have D. Mason parachute in and land on the Raven's Crest.

I was gonna say have him parachute in with the navy seal team that took out the pirates during spring break

wait bad idea mentioning this , I just saw gi joe and have been playing crysis like no tomarrow maybe a video montage need made , mayson parachuring with ST6 halo(staged of course) they come in through the bay comendeering a truck then riding , but heres the kicker as this is played on the score board at the end the team and him drive into the stadium on the field. the trick to this ST6 is the team that dealt with the pirates they are the only team problem is we cant use them unless they leave thier helms on and sun visor down , rule of ST6 you dont exist you cant exist period.

or maybe we can get them to do it offense style have the joe and the wrs dress up for the moch halo jump , sure paramount would help us out

I really don't like giving the Ravens any more reasons to raise ticket prices. Things like this would surely be used by the team to raise the prices AGAIN.

BUT... I think we, the fans, need to think of something awesome to chant for Mason. We need to make sure we are louder for Mason than we are for Heap. He's definitely done more for us, especially the last 4 years. Even if we just chant his number... as long as it's loud... that's something.

Really? Too funny.

I don't think a big deal should be made of it, especially during a game. Yeah, we're all glad that he decided to come back, but I think it could cause resentment from other players that such a big deal was made of it and we don't want that. What would be fun is something like the above: something funny at training camp. I don't know how "official" the Girl Scouts were, but if an announcement was made, like, "Here's your band, Derrick!", then that would actually be all that was needed.
