Anybody else wondering what the heck Harbaugh is doing to these guys? I'm all about having an intense training camp... but all of these injuries are starting to get pretty ridiculous.

At a certain point, it stops becoming aggressive/intense, and starts becoming stupid.

Harbaugh is running the team hard, it's true, but he's not the only one in the league. Preseason injuries are usually nothing to worry about, but we'll definitely have to pick up a free agent vet to bolster our depth. I would say Levi Jones, but anybody who was considered lazy by the Bengals of all teams probably isn't worth touching.

I actually feel like this is normal. We just hear about the Ravens minor injuries because we are in Maryland, i'm sure people in NE could tell you about all the nicks and bruises they have in their camp.

I don't think many of these injuries are serious, but we have to understand as fan, that they guys are working and playing harder now, then they will all season.

Training Camp is hard, and that is why you invite 80 or so guys at camp.

I here Cousins walked out of the training room with a slight limp, but no bandages or other support. So maybe a couple of days of rehab, but i look for him to play in the game thursday

Is Anderson healthy? That's part of the reason why he retired.

True, but I've never heard of Willie being known as anything other than a hardworking, reliable vet, and Jones has a reputation as a talented but injury-prone player who's weak against edge rushers. But yeah,if he can follow Willie's example and play through the pain,I'm all for getting him.

I just want Willie for him to mentor Oher and to add depth... Anderson came up big for us last year and if he was a backup ....im sure he would be fine.

If Anderson doesn't feel he can play, he won't and shouldn't play; simple as that. The Ravens need to look at other prospects a OT, though. Depending on how serious Cousins' injury is, we could have significant depth issues.

Well, apparently it's an injury to his left knee and it must not be season-ending because he was able to walk off the field and was limping around without any bandages after being checked-out.

There are so many players that have amazing combine numbers but never turn out. I'm not getting started on Jones again. It's never going to happen.

anything is possible and if he would have been in all the games last year he could have had a 1000 yd season, we see mt obe lacking players who have the ability to move past that mark. Go ahead negate me but im allowed to speak my mind.

Is Levi Jones still on the market? I'd love for the Ravens to pick him up. He'd be a monster in the 3 tackle set that Cameron loves to run in the short yardage/goal line situations. Gaither, Oher AND Jones. That'd be SICK.

I don't think the Cousins injury is that bad, and i don't think Terry would have had much impact for us anyway. However i do expect the Ravens to go out and pick up a veteran tackle to help with the delevopment of Oher.

The guy that might be on the Ravens radar is Jon Runyan. He's a 35 year old veteran, comes from Philly so i'm sure Harbs knows enough about the guy. Runyan has to get over an injury but if he proves to be healthy before the season, i can see us picking him up.

Another FA out there is Fred Miller. 36 year old vet who's started 164 out of 192 games, he could come in and provide some depth to this oline.

You also have some vets that will be cut before the end of training camp, or the Ravens could use a low round pick to make a trade like last year with Douglas.

Runyan would actually be a pretty good guess due to his history with Harbs. He is a nasty lineman (in the good way) and despite his age, still played very well last year in Philly. No injury concerns either if he shows he is healthy, other than what a normal 35 year old would be subject to, I think he has started 150+ consecutive games or something like that.

Yea i know and the good thing is, if the Ravens reach out to him it would be a win win for both sides.

From what i hear Runyan's first choice would be to return to Philly. However he wants to play and not just sit on the bench(obviously).

Well with the Ravens using a lot of unbalance line, Runyan would play more then any other backup RT in the league.

Like you said he is a Nasty olinemen, and he would have a huge impact on guys like Oher, Gaither, Cousins, Yanda(all have a bit of a mean streak) and maybe guys like Chester and Grubbs can pick up some of that nastiness.

But it all depends of his health and if the Eagales attempt to bring him back.

Unless there are some injuries to their o-line (which is possible) i doubt Philly wants him back, they didn't trade for Peters and sign Stacy Andrews for nothing. They had no issue with losing any of their aging vets this offseason (see Dawkins, Tra Thomas as well). I've also heard stuff earlier in free agency that Runyan wanted to stay close to his home in New Jersey. Well Jon, Baltimore is not that far...we'll see I guess, he would be as good of a bet as anyone still left out there.

Lock around the league,a lot of teams are becoming more competetive, and more players are getting injured not just Ravens.

Oniel is no big loss, the guy was terrible in limited action. Any camp body can do as good a job.

And all this talk about Runyan and Anderson... why not see if Ogden wants to suit up one more time? his toe is healed and 75% of Ogden is easily better than any other tackle option we have.

no, Oher is already right, Gaither is left, I dont see Ogden or any of the other guys mentioned playing for us. Maybe a slim chance on Runyan though.

i just hope we dont trade away a pick. Also Fred Miller has retired i believe and i mentioned Runyan before OTA's as a guy Harbaugh might bring in and got shot down for it lol

I actually would prefer to keep a guy like Joe Reitz on the 53 as he has so much potential

T - Gaither, Oher, Cousins, Reitz
G - Yanda, Grubbs , Chester
C - Birk, Hale

Thats who i want on the 53 although if hale isnt working out i dont see why not to bring in a veteran from FA. I just dont want to trade away picks.

What people forget about Cousins is that he needs development, when we picked him last year he only had 2 years of experience as a T as he was a DT for most of his life. He is a project and shouldnt of have to of played last season. Give the guy a breakm he is still learning.

I laugh when you say something about Cousins be terrible and then say why not ring up Ogden straight after. You come up with some crazy stuff

Although even though it would never happen just imagine the line of

Gaither - Grubbs - Birk - Oher - Ogden

Talk abut legendary lol

Oh i wasn't aware that Miller had retired. I know there were a few Olineman that retired this pass offseason but didn't know he was one of them.

I've said before i think Cousins is more then capable of taking over for what Terry would have been asked to do.

Reitz, i'll have to watch him over the 4 game preseason.

All in all i think the Ravens are more then happy with the youth and talent on this oline. IF they can find a guy, a veteran guy that gets cut and he can help, yea bring him in. Other then that i don't see us making any moves.
