How are there "odds" of Vick going anywhere? The author makes some pretty good points in the article but I don't think Michael Vick is going to be in the NFL without anyone seeing what he can do.

that would be a sad, sad day if Vick signed with the steelers.. i dont think its too far-fetched to expect him to be the Comeback PLOY if he's put in the right situation to succeed with the right franchise.. he's a bargain for the veterans minimum IMO, but im sure his agent wants more than that

The biggest reason why people think this will happen is because there'd be less pressure on Vick as he transitions back into the game. By getting on a team with an established starting QB, with somewhat of a "need" for a decent backup (Charlie Batch is still serviceable, IMO), the onus would no longer be on Vick to carry a team. Not only that, but the Steelers' reputation in the eyes of the NFL majority is bulletproof. As much as we Ravens fans dislike the Steelers, we have to admit that they've [i]earned[/i] their reputation as one of the more respected organizations in the league. Ask any fan of a team that isn't in direct competition with the Steelers and they'll admit that they respect what they've done.

I personally don't see this move happening, and I still see Vick going to the 49ers or Vikings.

Sooooooo, I'm driving into work today and I hear on the radio, "The Steelers are still interested in Quarterback Mike Vick....."

Needless-to-say, I had to rewind it and make sure I heard the team name correctly. I can't believe the Steelers would even consider, considering Mike Vick. Disappointing.
