Bills Interested In Playing Games In Toronto

10 posts in this topic

it would make sense to me for some teams to find international homes. the NFl is trying to expand and turn it into a european rival for soccer. but before that can happen they have to attract those countries closest first, then more and more people will want in on the action. besides I think it's rediculous that some states have 2-4 teams. if canada wants the Bills then hey, it doesn't bother me lol.

I'm kinda split on this. I do think it's a good idea for the NFL to try and expand and with Buffalo's position to Toronto, not a bad idea. But where does that leave season ticket holders? Put yourself in their shoes.. you get 8 games a year to attend (10 if you count pre-season) and you can now lose 20% of that... wouldn't you feel slighted a bit?

Tough call.. I dunno really. I like how they're going to try pre-season first *before* committing an NFL game there.

i personally think its a good thing to do...i mean the NFL is (after all) trying to expand this great sport into other countries and what not, and with the Bills playing some Football in Toronto, it not only moves the reality of the idea more into focus but also it Expands/exposes more than 1 country to the wonderful sport of American football....a Game that is Full of Fans cheering for their favorite teams, Rival teams to clash on the "unkown land" and most of all it gives the chance of Foreiners to Experience and the Thrill of the sport....the way we have embraced it to what it is

I don't discount it being a great idea as well, I think it'd be good for the NFL to try and spread their popularity. It'll be interesting to see how other countries and areas of the world embrace it with soccer, rugby, aussie rules and other sports like that that dominate their respective areas.

I still feel for Buffalo fans however because this experiment will result in them losing a game and that sucks.

Why don't the Bills go to VA, LA, or Oklahoma.

Somewhere with actual football market

I also find it hilarious that Willis was right after all the **** he took from the Buffalo fans/writers

You DO realize, though, that we'll be feeling the same way Buffalo fans are probably feeling NOW if, say, our Ravens were to play elsewhere for a "home" game in the next couple of years...

I mean, it's not that impossible of an idea...the Ravens DO have somewhat of a slight international following, mainly due to the defense...

Granted, we're not on the popularity level of, say, the Cowboys, the Patriots, or the Colts...but people still know what that defense is all about.

yea, everyone across the country knows our defense and its players. We have Fans from All over hte U.S.....from Cali to the mid-west, to the East coast along with its Home-town fan base here in B-More Maryland (and frankly throughout the state of Maryland)
