Yeah, was kind of surprised to read that--guess when a team raises you from a special teamer to one of the premier players at your position, it's only fair to criticize them.

Luckily, they have plenty of cameras in New England, so he should be getting plenty of face time.

I've said it before I'll say it again, Adalius Thomas was a mere product of the system for us. He didn't come tearing into the league with a ton of talent, we brought him up through the ranks starting in special teams. He filled in all 11 positions on the defensive side of the field because with our scheme we could plug him in anywhere. Heres proof, look at Jaret Johnson, he is an absolute BEAST this year and is filling in "big shoes" from AD.

AD says no one in New England looks for the spotlight, then he says something controversial that gets him put into the spotlight.

I was so disappointed to hear about this. I really thought he was one of those players who could leave with class. AD was loved in this town, had a very popular radio show, etc.

What was he thinking to shoot his mouth off?

yea...what the heck!...i mean any other player would celebrate after making a Play for his team....Shawne Merriman does the weird Dance everytime he gets a sack and what not, Ray Beats his chest BECAUSE he is Passionate about the game of Football, he Loves it and plays it with his heart and soul.....so when Ray makes a Play (even if its just a simple knock down of a pass or a small tackle OR even assisting on a tackle) he gets pumped up with energy and does his Celebration because in a way its like saying "Hey we stopped you! you cant get by us!!!!" he's stating that for the whole Team, Offense and Defense.....Ray is a PASSIONATE player....which now and days is VERY rare to find.....
