Sometimes I'm not too fond of King but its a pretty good read all the way through this week. Includes some notes on Harbaugh's USO trip, Oher's progress, a transcript from an Ed Reed autograph session, Ray Rice having the "best offensive play" King saw all week, Birk's new jersey number and Suggs' favorite shirt...

For those only interested in Ravens related stuff, it is on pages 2,4,5 of the article.

My favourite part was actually:

"Sunday, 3:25 p.m. (Steelers camp, Latrobe, Pa.) And now for something completely different -- Mike Shanahan on the sidelines of Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. The sight was so strange on Saturday that defensive player of the year James Harrison went over to coach Mike Tomlin early in practice and said something like, Hey, you aren't going to let the Broncos coach in to watch our practice, are you? News travels slowly up here, I guess."

That James Harrison is something special, is he not?

If by special you mean a wife-beating moron, then yes, James Harrison is special.

Thanks for the link, good read. I laughed out loud about the quote on Suggs' T-shirt!

On the back of the purple T-shirt Terrell Suggs wore under his practice jersey Thursday were these words: "You Bet Your Sweet A$$ I Hate The Steelers.''

Thanks for the facebook header :D

Haters. I love it.

Your on a Baltimore Ravens forum, what do you expect, praise?

I still am inquiring why your on here? Not that I mind, as we get to interact with a Steeler fan and bash him knowing he won't have any support from his fellow fans and we have support from each other...

but what do you expect, us to bash our own? Or, do you expect us to bash our hated rival...a team that kept us 5 minutes away from the Super Bowl. We were so close, but you,....terrible towel (that;s a good adjective for that towel) people prevented us from seeking our glory. We had a beast of a team last year, and it was our year...which we were sure enough to win against the Cardinals.

However, who has to get in our way... I'm still so angry over that loss.

So James Harrison= one year wonder.

Dude, don't get obnoxious. If , IF HARRISON puts up 3-4 more years similar to his last he gets respect. Otherwise, he just had a freak year. I look for him to be swollowed by our Oline this year.

He was great in his first year starting. He's been a menace each time he filled in prior to that. Plus he has Woodley on the other side and now the speedy Timmons in the middle. I look for more of the same.

Again, that game was not as close as the score would lead one to believe. I was in the stands and did little more than holler and wave my towel. It was the Steelers who prevented Raven glory.

Flacco hit a mile-stone by actually winning a playoff game as a rookie. Winning an AFCCG in a hostile environment after a long season (as compared to college) is no easy task. It was a slug fest (defensively) and 2009's better team won. At least you guys were there. Again, with a rookie at QB. I would look forward to good things to come if I were you....., just not this year. ;)

BTW-I forgot to address your curiosity, sorry. I wandered over a few years ago to check it out. Made some friends here. I don't need anyone to stick up for me. I'm fine on my own. Nor do I argue for the sake of arguing with a Ravens fan. That'd just be dumb considering where I am. However, I DO have an opinion and I WILL voice it. Sometimes it may be the same as yours. Sometimes not.

Anyone know where you can get those Team Sizzle shirts that Suggs wears? I know he gave some out last year at a radio show he did in Columbia. But now he is wearing black ones with different designs.

I'm talking about the shirts that have the picture of him doing his "Death Grip."

Any information is appreciated!

Or hitting a player who is down during the superbowl.

Or not wanting to go to the white house because "Any team that won the superbowl is the one Obama would have picked."
Well NO DUR.

This was a great article and I'd have to say that my favorite part was how many people kept asking Ed Reed for one of his gloves.

I bet you do look for more of the same, truth is...He's gotten a very late start and he is now getting to the age where he will start to slow down. Remember , he's not Ray Lewis. He (SilverBack) does a better job at getting to the QB than Ray but he's just a rush guy. What else does he do? Granted he has certainly caused tons of Havoc against the Ravens but can he drop in coverage, work 15 yards down the field, RUN THE DEFENSE? etc... I think no. enjoy his chao causing ways for now, but they will be short lived.

He plays a different position than Ray. He and Woodley set the Steeler sack record by a duo last year (big feat in Pittsburgh) with Harrison contributing to most of it. Of course he'll slow down, but who's to say when that will be. I enjoy every minute of it. I assure you that when it's time for him to go, the Steelers will have a man ready to step up at the ROLB position....just like they always do. That position has a legacy on this team.
