Heap Eyeing Return And Red Zone Improvement

10 posts in this topic

looks like Todd Heap will be listed as a "probable" on the injury list ni this week's match up with the Rams....and he is anxious to get back out there after sitting out last week ends win over the 49er's....Heap and Billick both said that with Heap sitting out of last weeks game.....that doubles the chance of the pro bowl Tight end, to play against the Rams...and in doing so..Heap has also said that with his return to the active roster......it will help our red zone offense out and scoring those red zone TouchDowns...

I think getting Todd back will help alot in the redzone. However ultimately we have to just execute better and make better decision from the 30+. I think Quinn has proven to be a pretty good pass catcher. With his good run blocker he will be a nice target for backside playactions. Once Heap is back he will be a focal point for most defenses in the redzone so getting Wilcox and Quinn in on redzone situation might open somethings up.

i agree, getting Heap back into Action will definately help us out in the red zone, and (as i have said on countless times before) the Team is working day in and day out, spending hours and practice in order to get this Red Zone Offense to where it needs to be, i think that with heap coming back, yes i agree, it will draw more players to cover Heap, ultimately leaving at least 1 MAYBE 2 men uncovered for a few more seconds than Defenses would like....enough time to get the ball there for the Gain of yards and Hopefully a Touchdown

i think that whenever heap is even on the field, opposing defenses have to take him into their consideration about who to cover or whether to double team him, leaving at least 1 man open....there;s an endless sense of possibilites that Heap can bring to the table when he's on the field

Imagine how confused the defenses would be if we ran a two TE set with Heap and Sypniewski. They wouldn't be able to tell who was who.

haha yea....seeing how our own crowd couldnt tell the difference :P......similar in size, build, and same position...only difference right now between the 2 seems to be the numbers

I wish Todd Heap wasn't a MORMON and took Medications I read after his injury if he would take medications and do other things his religion is against his return time to the TEAM would be a lot quicker.... YET he donated all this money to fund Franklin Square I believe that was the hospital he funded. I heard he was going to be up their a few days ago meant to go up their and try and find him somehow :) and get my JERSEY signed real fast then get out of his way. :P

yea i heard about that...meaning Heap donating like (not totally sure on how much it was) like 1 million? or so to the hospital he supports, im glad to hear that...as for him not taking medicine, i think (due to his high profile sports stature and what not) and the way he plays the game and seeing how he's such a HUGE part of our team and game plan.....the Ravens want him taking meds to get a better faster
