Ravens On Nfl-network

12 posts in this topic

Saturday at 2 pm the NFL Network will be showing a program on the 2000 Ravens Super Bowl team ("America's Game").

at 8 pm (and repeat at 11 pm) there's something called 'Sounds of the Game' featuring the Ravens-9ers game from Sunday the 7th. They have 12 players and coaches Mic'ed up. Peter King even mentioned it in his MMQB column.

I expect this year that Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, a deserving head-coach-in-waiting, would be one of the stars of this show. At one point in the third quarter of Baltimore's 9-7 win, Ryan called a defensive formation, then got upset when he looked out on the field and saw Ray Lewis call a different formation. When the ball was snapped, Ryan saw why Lewis made a different call. "He changed it 'cause he knows it's a screen pass!'' Ryan yelled. It was a screen, and Lewis stuffed it, ending the 49ers drive. When Lewis got to the sideline, Ryan exulted him, saying, "You knew it was a screen pass! And Lewis yelled, "I got your back, coach!'

Didn't get to watch all of this, but what I saw was pretty neat.

Mike Nolan grimacing and hissing "it's always a sneeeak" struck me as extremely funny for some reason.

This was awesome to watch. Every aspect of this game was recorded. I'm watching it again here in a sec lol. Ray is the man, he knew what the 49ers were going to throw at him before the 49ers did. He was ontop of them ALL game. My favorite quote from the game was when Ray got doubled team on a WR screen pass, and he shed the first tackle, and took the FB and threw him. He said "This game is for men, you gotta be a man to stand on this field", and started laughing.

Yeah I'm watching NFL Network more and more as ESPN switches to full-blown "hype the patriots" mode.

I loved seeing Rod Woodson talk to Ray a few weeks back, that was extremely cool.

Yea that interview was cool. Its such a shame Woodson just hates on the ravens now lol. But we know what our weaknesses are, and i dont doubt we'll fix them to become a legitimate contender.

oh you can bet anything that the Ravens will be working VERY hard to correct those errors we've made.....we are Ligitamite contenders...and we'll (for sure) get it everything we got! to get there to raise it...as hte Ravens "Champions of the world" again
