Ravens' Return To Superbowl Form

41 posts in this topic

Oh yeah...that is truly the number one concern right now. We cannot lose these 'patticake' games. :(

I didnt say that was our number one concern right now, i was commenting about this threads theme of being a super bowl team. ie making the playoffs...which will take a 10-6 record at least IMO.

At 3-2 right now, losing one or two of the next games leaves us at 4-3 (best) or 3-4(worse). at 4-3 we can only lose 3 more games vs the steelers twice, colts, pats, chargers, bengals, phins, seahawks. browns. Hopefully we can split with the steelers (thats one more loss), and the colts and the pats are going to be very tough games, could be 2 more losses. should beat the phins, but the rest are toss up games. Thats why its very important to win vs the bills and rams.

our number one concern right now is redzone offense.

idc if you were being sarcastic, I think it really is a possibility. McNair may not be washed up but in these "patticake games" wouldn't it make more sense to test out Boller to see if hes still ready to step in if McNair goes down later in the season? That'll give McNair more time to rest and Boller some game time. I see no downside, as Boller only needs a bad team to have a break out game against to boost his confidence even further and may let him beat out McNair for the starting role. once we're completely healthy, and assuming we DONT screw up the next two games, I think we have a realistic possibility to go 10-5 or better.

The Ravens know what they have in Boller IF McNair goes down with an injury.... and he's continued to show his improvement ever since McNair got here last season he's been improving and the coaches are noticing......they all know what we have in Boller, they know what he can do, they've seen it in action (keep in mind that Boller basically got those 2 wins when McNair was out earlier in the season..so he's 2-0 right now)

McNair's injury as we've been told countless times before is improving EVERYDAY, ever practice, every game, Billick and McNair last week said that last weeks game was the Healthiest McNairs been thus far....i can only expect that trend to continue onto this week's match-up

The Rams will also be without 2 of their key players when they face us.....WR Donte Hall and WR Isaac Bruce will not play against us, this weekend.....along with the other injured players they have listed as "out" against us

The rams will be without their 2 key players....but they arent Dante Hall and Isaac Bruce. Yes those two will be out, but QB Marc Bulger and RB Stephen jackson are also out, they are more key. The rams are very banged up right now, are 0-5, and are playing on the road....I see why we are favored by 9.5 pts....but i think it still might be close. Take the rams and the points, but ravens win 15-10.

yea i see what you mean, but my prediction stands as called in the other thread lol...lets not get carried away here though or it will back fire on us for sure, none of the predictions should be some score that is completely un-reasonable and completely crazy......keep it simple and with the relm of reality here lol, nice predicton

Good idea on the not getting carried away. I was positive that we were going to destroy the Browns, and that game took me a whole week to recover from. It probably would have taken longer if not for my Zoloft.

lol Zoloft haha...but seriously, none of the scores should be "blown outta proportion" here.....like "i predict Ravens win: 55 to 0 with Our defense dominating the O-Line with 12 sacks and 6 INT's! "......that kinda thing just wont happen no matter who you face. i always love to see our Ravens dominate the competition though.....it what drives the team, the Fans...the Ravens Community

here's an interesting fact that i found out about McGahee running the football the way he is right now..... ok so right now he has about 465 yards rushing....what i did was calculate that over another 3 month time period and (considering how well he is rushing right now)......465 yards through the first 4 weeks of the season, double that amount for the next for weeks, then double that amount until the end of the season.... (465 x 3) and i came up with a total of McGahee rushing for a total of 1,395 yards this season....considering the rate he is at right now, if he gets alot more 100 yard games, then that number would obviously increase......once again.....just a interesting fact i found out just now by myself....keep in mind that the yards could very well increase if he has more 100 yard games (which i would expect he will have)..this is just a "rough outline prediction" of the amount of yards McGahee will have this season
