IT LOOKS TO ME AND A LOT OF OTHER FANS THAT MCNAIR CANT GET THE BALL DOWN FIELD AND IS NOT ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE POCKET ! IT TIME TO TURN THE JOB OVER TO BOLLER AND LET HIM RUN THE OFFENSE HE CAN THROW THE BALL DOWN FIELD AND IS MOBILE TO RUN AND MAKE PLAY ON HIS FEET IT TIME FOR A CHANGE HE HAS SHOWED US IN THE LAST TWO GAMESHE CAN DO IT!

First off, all caps may not be the best way to make a good point. Just a polite suggestion.

Second, McNair can throw, and he's an all-around good quarterback. I think he deserves a chance when he is not injured. He may be out of practice at throwing the long ball, but this is because Billick never calls long plays. Essentially, Billick calls plays like they're in the red zone anywhere on the field - with the exception of today, when he was forced to drop long plays on an unprepared McNair because the offensive coaching staff put them in a bad position that they should never have ended up in. This is, of course, confusing, because the team seems to be at a loss for what to do in red-zone situations...maybe it's because they do the same thing in the actual red zone that they do all over the rest of the field, and the defense has a read on the plays by the time they end up within range of a touchdown.

Though I admit I'm rather disturbed by McNair's willingness to force throws into double coverage. His awareness in the pocket seems to stem more from pre-planning routes than from any real ability or 'veteran-ness'.

McNair is a good Quarterback but he is not able to throw downfield Boller has proven he can and Billick know it but he stuck all game with McNair and that may have cost us the game along with about 10 other things al i al McNair is had his day in the sun and its time for Boller to try his hand at Quarterback it may just be his timeand besides McNair cant winn the big game Super Bowl with Tennessee and the playoff game against the colts

I agree that Boller would have been the better guy to go to for a rally like the one they needed. He should get his chance to start while McNair is injured, and he should stay in the game until it's, and McNair can use his ability to run once again - once McNair is completely healed. Boller has shown that he can be a really good quarterback. If Billick decides to give him the gametime experience, I agree he could be great. All-in-all, he knows the team better I think, and the team has responded well to that this year.

I think you're mistaken if you think the offense can't move down the field. The offense moved fine between the 20s. We were in Browns territory on every possession.

The offense's issue is that it can't get into the end zone. We hit the 20 yard line and go brain-dead, skill-challenged, something.

I know we can move the ball down the field between the 20's 10 to 15 yards at a time we need a quarterback that will spread the field with his arm and be able to scramble out of the pocket if need to and make plays boller has proved he can it his time if he cant then troy smith may be able to but something must change with the offense or we will be in for a long season

i agree, our Offense can move the ball down the field....we did that on virtually EVERY drive/time we had teh football, the problem zone seems to be in the red zone, once we hit the 20, we just cant do anything right (completing passes mostly)..once we get that HUGE item straightened out....then we can score big!

Troy i really dont think should start right now lol....he's still learning...and needs time and a good mentor to look up to and study and take mental notes from on how to play the QB position

The bottom line with this offense is that there is no medium to long range pass capabilities. The 3 - 6 yard passes can move you down field but when they get to the red zone the defense has less room they have to cover and that is why we cannot score TDs. When you look at teams that have deep threats - most of the TDs from passing come form 30 - 40 yard catch and run passes for TDs. (Colts,Patriots,Cowboys,Packers) Look at the QBs - They can throw downfield and the defenses have to be prepared for this. When teams get ready for the Ravens - they know there is no deep threat, therefore they do not have to prepare nor defend against this. They let them march downfield and settle for fieldgoals. This means that there is no room for error on either side of the ball for the Ravens and any mistakes (turnovers, penalties) kill the abiltiy to score TDs

Until the Ravens can get the proper QB and receivers for this threat - opposing defenses will be able to stop them.

ahh, Billick said in the monday interview after the game, said that the main reason why there was so many pass plays was because of the fact that we were down 14 point early and it messed the game plan up, a lil bit

If Billick had done any game planning and seen how "well" we've defended the run before that game, he'd realize that is a very lame excuse. Just my opinion but it's not like we've stopped anyone all year on the ground, you're down 14-0 early with a ton of game left and you're gonna abandon probably the best aspect of your offense? That makes no sense.

the Ravens (when preparing for this game) and studying the game film of the browns, knew that the oppurtunity was there against the Run with your guy's Defense and we executed that game plan fairly well (seeing how McGahee recorded 104 yards on only 15 carries and averaging a whopping 7.4 yards PER carry), i just think we need to continue/and or work on giving the ball to McGahee alot more than 15 carries......you would figure that if McGahee rushed that well against the Browns Defense on only 15 carries, averaging 7.4 yards per carry, you can probably bet that if we hadnt turned the ball over and gave up that mainy points right off the bat and stuck with our game plan...McGahee would have at least 208 yards for the day and considering the fact that if he would have continued to run the ball as well with the same Yards per play (YPP) average and the same mentality and speed..he would've been over 200 yards for the day and another thing to consider was how well McNair threw the ball (he was one of the NFL league leaders in Passing yardage) with i think over 300 yards and 2 TD's..and the fact that our offense was on their side of the Field on ALL but 1 or 2 drives....Billick agreed that we NEED to work on the red zone offense, especially when we run the Ball in the red zone

yeah thats basically our problem.....our offense is really doing amazing until we hit the red zone, then we fall flat. Boller has done better in the red zone then McNair has, which is wierd to say but its been true this season. I really hope we can get that fixed because if we do....watch out...the Ravens are gonna tear some **** up

ok my bad lol 14 carries, not 15...thats even better....104 yards on 14 carries....if he would've gotten the same amount of yards in the 2nd half..as in the first half..your talking about a RB that posted over 200 yards.....sweet, pretty sweet
