First of all, I didn't say he was did I. Second, if no one can say he's better, then no one can says he worse. Get it?
BTW - I LOVE that you hate Hines Ward. It makes me smile. :D

By that logic you can't say that Troy Smith is worse than Ben R. But that is silly because Ben has proven that he is a capable player. Unless he proves otherwise, our runners are better than Mendenhall.

This may come as a surprise to you, but I actually hate that entire team. Ward isn't special in that respect.

You forget that rice was injured for almost the entire second half of last season. Sorry but Mcgahee Mclain and Rice are just better than Parker Mendenhall and Moore. When I said there isn't anyone impressive, I meant there's no one the impresses me personally (aka..a huge threat to the ravens) and i'm sure as a steelers fan you feel that they can stop anyone that the Ravens have as well, sorry about that misunderstanding

im on the same page as warden here, i dont know who's are better

but i do know that whoever has the better backs its not as much of a seperation between first and second as it was made to seem

also to the poster who said "carson is by far the best statistical QB in the afc north" thats not true

but i know alot of people dont want to see me whip out the stats.....so i wont lol

The Steelers have a 3x 1200+ yard rusher and former Pro Bowler who isn't even 30 years old yet, as well as a first round pick, and you think the Ravens have better RBs? At least Parker has a proven track record. Rice and McClain have never accomplished anything noteworthy in the NFL.

The Steelers D has been #1 in the league in yards for two consecutive seasons, yet somehow, the Ravens DL and Secondary are better, the LBs are the same? Not hardly. I may give the edge at DL to the Ravens, but the Steelers LBs dominate the game and feature the leagues current best LB in Harrison. This isn't even debatable.

Regardless of his rookie year, Carson Palmer is light years ahead of Joe Flacco. Palmer is an immense talent, not a QB that wins by not making mistakes. Just because he sat it out injured last year doesn't make him "not the QB he used to be." That's a ludicrous statement. This is not some over the hill QB, he's young, in his prime and far more talented--he throws the ball with a velocity and accuracy Flacco could only dream about.

To suggest Heap is a better TE at this point in time in his career than Miller is Homerish. As is calling the Ravens OL the best when the Browns feature their own first round pick in addition to the best young LT in the game.

If, all of a sudden, McLain, Rice and Menhenhall became available as FAs, I promise you that there would be far more interest in Mendenhall throughout the league, and by your own team too.

And Hines Ward is on pace to retire with over 1000 catches and 13000 yards. You may not think that is special, but the record book says otherwise.

1. Even if that were true, how would it change anything?

2. What are you talking about? I said that I don't hate Ward more than I hate any other Steeler.

LeRon McClain did earn a ProBowl berth and 1st team All-Pro honors, that's something, right? It's tough to compare these two teams' backs because neither was entirely healthy last season and all are relatively young.

I agree with you on your assessment of Carson Palmer, though; as great and promising as Flacco was last season (and how great he can become), Palmer is a ProBowl QB when healthy.

obviously you can't read or else you would see that nobody rated Palmer lower the Flacco HOWEVER the Ravens are DEEPER at the position than Cincy. That IS the truth. Also how can you say that the Ravens and Steelers LB's aren't even a debate? to say Harrison is the leagues best LB is homerish as well. Also to say that the Browns O-line is better than the Ravens is laughable. As far as Secondary goes the Ravens are much deeper than any other team in the division as well.

Flacco can make all of the throws that Palmer can. Is he BETTER than Palmer at this point? no he's not. If you could have read a little further you would see that I listed the fact that the Bengals have absolutely no running game and a sub par O-line as a reason why Palmer might not put up the numbers that you might think he would being healthy.
