New Format Issues Or Something Else?

Here are the issues I've encountered since the new format has been implemented:

1). Slow refresh rate and response time as compared to other web-sites. Same in various locations/computers

2). Half of my emoticons are covered by a separate window within the format (like the psot I'm replying to half covers the smiley window).

3). I can no longer give rep. points (positive or negative).

Any suggestions or explanation? Thank you.

Pretty sure rep points are suspended I will pass on the rendering issues--I have intermittent issues too.

I've had similar issues with the refresh rate on various computers. I think it has to do with something in the script for the new skin; I've been using the plain IP Board skin for awhile now and have gotten better results.

Look at the very bottom of the page. You should see a small drop-down menu in the bottom left-hand corner that says "Ravens" next to another drop-down tab that says "English (USA)." The menu gives you the option of "IP Board" and "IP Board Lo-Fi," both of which have produced much better results for me in running the forum. Granted, the skins are plain, but the regular IP Board skin isn't too bad. Same features and functionality, different look.

You da man Franny! That Ravens 3.0.1 is freaky as all get out! On IP board I am flying! What funny is I have the rendering issues upstairs but it fine on the middle level and I think it is the distance to the router which is in the server room in my basement.

...how did [i]you[/i], as a mod, not know how to change skins here? I thought you were all supposed to be more knowledgeable about the forum itself than we are???

When all this got implemented I was in Florida, Broadcreek, Sailing and then the Outerbanks had icky internet,no internet or sloooow internet and we all never seemed to get it together. I have been learning right with all the other posters. I am home now for the rest of the summer. I truly did not know if it was me or where I have been with the rendering issue
