I think it's funny that Jamal said he didn't fit our offensive scheme.... isn't he supposed to be a smashmouth runner? and isn't that how our offense had been designed for what, the past 7 years he was with us? or am I just delusional (quite possible) haha.

He didn't fit in our offensive scheme because he sucked a**. Dancing for 1 yard and diving into the pile doesn't work Jamal. Sorry to tell ya.

Oh, he'll be motivated this week and he DOES know our defense's weakness against the run. I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you. :P

I don't think he'll be a Raven-killer, though. Our defense knows how to stop Jamal, too.

eh i dont think Jamal will be able to count on his previous years experience with us for this one or the next game against us simply Because, that was last year and this year, Rex has alot more defensive schemes and can disguise what he's trying to do very well, we have made changes to our Schemes both on Offense and Defense, so opponents never really know what to expect and opponents never really know what defense we're running and what not...so i think that we'll keep the offense guessing at what we're doing and we'll be able to stop them reather well...we wont be able to stop them entirely no, because they're always going to get yards, just limit the amount of yardage and Points to a bare miminal

I think this is going to be McGahee's breakout game for us this week.

we'll just see about that "comeback" Rex is trying VERY hard to fix that from happening again....everyday, every practice, he's working on trying to prevent that from happening, i have a somewhat good feeling about this, meaning that the defense wont let the opponent offense, drive downfield and score and be able to comeback

ya im hoping that we dont have that problem again i want us to dominate the first half like we do and in the second...finish the game smoothly...

ahhh yes, finishing a game smoothly.....there is absolutely nothing than could ever beat "smooth" finish to a hard fought game (except maybe the SuperBowl lol)

I was thinking about this, and correct me if I am wrong, but I think the past two weeks Cory Ivy has let up big plays which resulted in the opponent scoring in the 4th quarter. Maybe it isn't our whole defense, it is mostly him. I remember he let up a big passing play against the Jets, when they were driving their last time. And against the Cardinals he did it twice in a row and let them set up to score. I hate to say it, but I miss Rolle.

All DBs get beat occasionally. All in all, Ivy hasn't played all that badly, especially considering his size.

remember last year when everyone was talking about Rolle and how he isnt really good anymore? i do and now i think we realize his value lol....though cory has done well (just ask Billick) and he's made a few big plays for us (the stripped Ball from the WR's hands last week when we needed it) im sure that if ivy had a little more time and training at that specific position, he would be alot better than what he somtimes shows....he woudnt be in the NFL or on the Ravens for that matter if he wasnt

CBs have on-and-off seasons.

I remember 2 years ago, CMac was dropping INTs and getting costly penalties all the time. Now, he's back on his A-game.

you just come to realize just how valuable a player is when he is not there dont it?.....im for dang sure certain that if Ivy had more experience at that position and knew more of what he was/is doing, he would be doing a hell of alot better...not that he's doing all THAT bad considering he was a key factor in last weeks game when he stripped that ball from hte WR's hands before his knee touched the ground.....people just cant expect a player to be pushed into that kind of role and know exactly what he is doing out there, because let's face it, they most likely dont and it will take more than a play or game or 2 in order for any player to get the hang of a new role...i would expect Rolle to be back next week to play against the 49ers and so everything will be in order then

Jamal had a bad game against us...he had one good run (only for 20-some yards) and the only touchdown he got on the day was GIVEN to him. Mind you, Billick challenged it late, but still i never saw that ball break the goal line.

On the other hand, McGahee had an amazing game getting 104 yards on only 14 carries. I think I was prepared for Jamal to go say when.....he left the team in the first place. Good Riddance to him, McGahee really is the man lol

yea i saw the interview of him after the game (much to my dismay, i was VERY hesistant to turn on the TV and hear what ppl were saying about the Game in which virtually everyone picked the Ravens to win) and he said that it felt great to get the win and it was his offensive line was doing a great job at blocking for him....yea they did a good job at protecting the QB but they really didnt help jamal out at all...25 carries and only 64 yards and a VERY conversial TD that was clearly not in the endzone (no offense Brownsfan) but he wasnt in :P, they gave it to him, the announcers didnt like the call,

while McGahee had 15 carries for 104 yards

It's obvious it was a big win for Jamal. Jamal isn't going to put up huge numbers for Cleveland and I at least realize that.. other Browns fan remain undecided on that. The thing Jamal brings to us is a *presence* at RB which we have not had since coming back into the league.. THAT is what is so important about him. He doesn't need to put up 100+ every game.. if he proves he CAN do it then teams will respect the run from us and that opens up the passing game for us. That is what's most important.

McGahee right now, absolutely a better RB I've been saying that since day 1 when you got him. I wasn't convinced he'd do very well within the division at first but he's proven to be a good RB overall. His test will be Pittsburgh ultimately which is a tough team against the run. I'm not taking anything away from McGahee at all whatsoever but our defense *is* garbage so it doesn't shock me he ran for 100+ on only 14 carries. What does shock me is... ONLY 14 carries? Billick HAD to know McGahee could of ran on us all day and yet he neglected to use him... that is bad playcalling IMO.

To end this I agree, Jamal wasn't in it's clearly obvious. It is tough though if you challenge that cause you will win, but you know we'll go for it on 4th and therefore, you possibly waste a challenge.

i think that the original game plan was to use McGahee more than we did...but due to the 2 TD's in under 3 minutes from you guys based off of our turnovers promted to say otherwise

the Challenge....Billick threw it b4 the ball was snapped, but the Offical said that he didnt throw it in time, but seems to me, he was standing there after he threw and pointing at it..which indefinatley means that he threw the flag before the ball was snapped, if he had JUST thrown th flag, you would see Billick be more "into it" and yelling and what not..but instead he was standing calmly on the sidelines with the red flag on the ground and pointing at it...

Jamal had one good game against Cinnci besids that he can't get more than 65 yards and only has 2 TD's. Plus the TD against US should NOT have counted because it wansn't even close to the goal line. Stupid Refs! I was screaming for Billick to throw the red flag for 5 minutes, but you can't do it after the PAT! Yeah, Nice!

I'm glad we have McGahee. Willis has 2 games for over 100 yrds rushing, 2 games 2 or 3 yrds shy of 100 yrds rushing. In 2 back to back games, hes had 136 all purpose yards. 6 games out of 7 for 100 or more all purpose yards. He has 2 TD's. Should have 3, but we got called for holding on a great touchdown run against the Rams.

jamal has since faultered since that initial 200 yard game in week 2, not to take anything away from the guy....he's a powerhouse thats for sure (we know, we used to have him, and hte Browns would FEAR him) but he's had some injuries that have set him back some, and hasnt been up to speed as of yet since that 1 game.

I'm not surprised he's faltered at all. The 200+ yard game was definitely a freak game for him and was aided by a terrible Bengals defense. What he's brought so far is just a strong RB presence on the field and that's all we need. Jason Wright does perfectly well as a #2 RB behind him and now with Harrison getting more carries, time will be split between the three for sure.
