I would vote Matt Jones (cokehead), Darrell Jackson, Reggie Williams, Marvin, DJ Hackett, than Bennett and Horn dont even make it.

k before I fly off the handle and start punishing my fav whipping boy, I voted for D-Jax.
Yeah, he's damaged goods just like every other guy on the list *but* other than the geriatric ward refugees Harrison and Horn, he is easily the most accomplished and talent WR of the bunch. That aside, assuming he were healthy for once, he is the most likely of them all to come in and produce.

Off topic-
Cokehead and Harrison together.....there's gotta be a joke in there somewhere....

Cocaine is a hell of a drug....

But seriously, man, if Lawrence Taylor could sneak a crack pipe IN the huddle, how bad can it be? Extreme energy, grinding teeth, paranoid delusions? As long as the ball doesn't look like a group of men in black trenchcoats, what's the problem? Especially when you consider how they cut it with baby lax.

If we can get Marvin Harrison cheap, I'd take him. Classiest guy, most professional, most reliable, most talented, good for a year or two. He's also probably eager to show up the league for assuming he's done. Our problem is we have no one to go to on 3rd down, and Marvin is a magician, especially getting the feet in on the sideline.

A guy like Reggie Williams or Hackett might be decent if we can light a fire under them. I think Kelley Washington might decent this year for that reason. With a lot of those types of guys, it's not lack of talent, just motivation to perfect their game.

I voted Reggie Williams. We need a tall, fast guy to compliment Clayton and Williams actually did well during some of his seasons in Jacksonville (he had 10 receiving touchdowns one season) and I think he can have success in Baltimore.

I voted Bennett. Truthfully it doesn't really matter to me who we get because if Mason doesn't come back, then Clayton is our number one, Williams, is our number 2, Smith is our number 3, no matter who we pickup. I just think that the Ravens are going to start those three unless injuries occur. I think this addition to wide reciever is just for depth. But I wouldn't mind any of the other receivers in the conversation.
Lets take these three out of the conversation:

Toomer isn't interested in signing with us

Marvin Harrison wants too much money

Matt Jones has off the field issues. Doesn't matter if you don't think off the field issues are a big deal or not; the fact is the Ravens do and that's all that matters. We are not trying him out.

no vote... dont care so long as Mason stays reitred and Clayton is our #1. those guys are just going to compete for a #3 maybe #2. but you do know D.Will is going to get hurt I just hope M. Smith steps up and takes the #2 if that happens. Im all for our young guys

don't forget Reggie Williams' off the field issues. so that leaves Darrell jackson, Bennett and Hacket. and if this is solely being done for depth than it really comes down to who we can get cheap. that would be Bennett.

I didn't know Williams had off the field issues too. He got caught drinking and driving with marijuana the first time, and interesting enough got caught with cocaine the second time. Weird, Williams was teammates with Matt Jones. But drug addictions don't affect anyone else...

It's tough because none of these guys would still be available if they were worth signing. I'll go with Reggie Williams based on talent but the team will most likely sign Bennett.

Wow, I'm very surprised that Bennett has pulled away in the voting so far. Of the options, he's not a bad one (he and Williams tie for #2 on my list).

Wow. That was quick. I'm not expecting 1000 yards but Bennett better be productive this year.

I don't think our WR depth chart is stone engraved. There will still be a battle especially is we bring in someone new.

I like Williams because of his youth, DJ Hackett would be second.

Well the only reason why I think like that because Williams and Smith have been impressing the coaches at OTAs. Now anything can happen at training camp but the healthier Williams gets the better he is going to be. And Smith is on such a learning curve since he is so young and inexperienced and seems to be making strides in his improvement. I can't see someone who doesn't know the system beating them out. If Smith and Williams weren't doing so well then I would think that the player we bring in would beat them out, but the fact that Smith and Williams know the system and are doing well just makes me think they are going to get the positions (putting injuries aside).

But we do need another reciever because I don't trust Justin Harper if injuries happen. Kelley Washington isn't bad but after him is scary. And on another note, I'm really excited about Marcus Smith next year. It normally takes 3 years for receivers to break out and next year is year 3 for him.

A: " Man I agree. I like matt jones!"
