The NFL draft will kick off in primetime for the first time in 2010, it was announced Thursday. The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET.

"We continue to look for ways to make the draft more accessible to more fans," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. "Moving the first round to prime time on Thursday night will make the first round of the draft available to fans on what is typically the most-watched night of television."

I would not go if either of those teams were playing... in America.. at a regular "cheap" (realitively speaking) game.

That's how I feel about this. I'm more of a wait and see how this works out next year but I believe the NFL will have to do some tweaking. I saw how the 1st Round of the Draft this year lasted just under 3 and a half hours. That means 7:30 until 11PM would be the first round. So I think if they do this, and I have always felt like this, do 5-8 minutes per pick. 15 Minutes was too long, and 10 minutes is even still too long. The NFL Teams had the Combine and the Pro Days and all the video to watch on these players. They don't need another long while to figure out who they want.

This could work in a way, but spreading it out over 3 days is just crazy. I do believe the 1st Round should be by itself but I will feel for one of the top college players that don't end up being picked Thursday Night and having to come back Friday Night to find out where they will be picked. I'll just take a wait and see approach and see how this works next year, but they should definitly tweak somethings before April 2010.

The problem with 5-8 minutes is that, thats not enough time for the team on the clock to negotiate trades. They could barely get it down in 15 minutes, cutting that in half is going to be very difficult.
