Very strong post. I hadn't realized there was such a strong trend. Devin Hester would seem to fit that criteria. Could these really be the next gen Mason and Dante Halls?

How do you figure.... you are confident Mason would have produced as well as last season. I doubt it and so did he, hence his retirement. Or do you believe the whole return man turn successful wideout is crazy, the past would prove him right to some extent.

Maybe Jermaine Lewis didn't turn into an outstanding WR but some have.

Don't be silly. The offseason has nothing to do with why I'm crazy.

No one really knows what Mason will produce this season. If he comes back healthy after surgery, the sky is the limit for him. He was our No. 1 WR last season and Joe's "go to" guy - not to mention that he played half the season with one arm! Mason is a warrior and a true Raven. I think he has one or two good seasons left, so let's embrace him and give him a much deserved contract extension

Wow, great post. Now that u mention it, so many "Masons" come to mind. An example would even be Steve Smith. Back to the Ravens though, this once again gives me tremendous hope for Mark Clayton.

Mason will come back. He was just really upset over Mcnair(as we all are.) and wanted some security and faith from Harbs. Onfe he get's to training camp he'll get the rush, and know that retierment isn't for him just yet.

Hey, it was an interesting read while it lasted. The harsh truth is players decline after 30 and sharply after 35.
