  1. I'll take Eli Apple over fuller, but yeah i'd be ecstatic with some combo of that. Ramsey and Spence and then thompson would be nice too, let Ramsey play cb as a rookie and let thompson get snaps at FS (i think he's a future starter) and then move Ramsey to SS in the future, and hopefully one of will David or shareece Wright or tray walker allow us to comforttably move Ramsey from cb in that scenario. I think we have a chance to bring our defense from trash to future top 10 in one draft here
  2. Title says it, won't make another until at least after the combine: * I've got the Texans trading their 1st and 2nd for our #6 pick in the draft. 1) Titans: The Titans are fine at pass rushers with Orakpo and Derick Morgan. They need offensive line help and cornerback help. That leaves Tunsil as the best option here. Laramey Tunsil LT 2) Browns: This team's roster is actually solid, it's their front office that keeps them in these positions. With that said it's time to move on from their alcoholic QB and plan a future. Jared Goff QB 3) Chargers: The Chargers are destroyed amongst their offensive, and defensive line. They would have loved Tunsil here, but will settle for d-line instead. Bosa will play the 5 technique in SD along with Corey Luiget! Joey Bosa DE 4) Cowboys: Dallas is a prime example of great starters, 0 depth. They could use a #2 cornerback, a #2 reciever, and another linebacker, completely unpredictable with where they go here. Vernon Hargreaves CB 5) Jaguars: The Jags have glaring holes on a solid team. Left Tackle, their whole secondary and pass rusher. They go with the most versatile defensive back in this draft. Jalen Ramsey SS/CB 6) Texans: trade with Ravens: The Texans fear the 49ers picking a qb, and want to be ahead of the eagles in order to get a top QB, though it may have been over anxious. Paxton Lynch QB 7) 49ers: San Fran is a mere shell of who they used to be. They over spent on Torrey, now it's time to draft the potential #1 reciever that they've been looking for. Lequan Treadwell WR 8) Dolphins: I could start at Guard in Miami, and anyone that can do a cartwheel could be their #1 corner. But even more importantly, Wake is coming off season ending injury, and Vernon may not come back. They add to that line, it will make their pas rusher, and Suh look better. Deforest Buckner DE 9) Tampa Bay: A common theme amongst the worst teams in the league. The Bucs need secondary and pass rusher help. Shaq Lawson EDGE 10) New York Giants: The Giants could use help on their ENTIRE defense, as well as another reciever Robert Nkemdiche DL 11) Bears: An offensive tackles to allow Long to slide back to Guard. Ronnie Stanley OT 12) New Orleans Saints: They need big time help on the inside. Andrew Billings DL 13) Philadelphia Eagles: Getting to the quarterback will help those shifty inside linebackers of theres. Leonard Floyd EDGE 14) Oakland Raiders: Their secondary has been trash since forever. Mackensie Alexander CB 15) LA Rams: Rams decide to help what their qb, before they replace him. Josh Doctson WR 16) Detroit Lions: BPA, and they certainly need another linebacker. That defense regressed badly. Myles Jack LB 17) Atlanta Falcons: One of the most safety needy teams in the league, They grab their guy. Jayron Kearse S 18) Indianapolis Colts: This is what they do in Indy, they get the icing, but not the cake. Ezekiel Elliot RB 19) Buffalo Bills: Rex aint passing up on a pass rusher. Emmanuel Ogbah EDGE 20) New Jersey/ New York Jets: They still land a potential franchise QB with a strong arm Carson Wentz QB 21) Washington Redskins: They have a lot of holes, but Coleman fills one the best at this spot. Corey Coleman WR 22) Baltimore Ravens Trade with Houston Texans: Some may call it a Reach, I call it Ozzie Magic. Noah Spence Edge 23) Minnesota Vikings: Much needed help for their young guy out of UCLA Su'a Cravens LB 24) Cincinnati Bengals: This team is so stacked, they can afford to let a stud heal for a year. Jaylon Smith LB 25) Pittsburgh Steelers: Pittsburgh steals one of our targets and helps their woeful secondary Eli Apple CB 26) Seattle Seahawks: Steelers grabbed their guy, but they still help their defense here. Maliek Collins DL 27) Green bay Packers: Packers reach back on the proverbial draft board a little to grab their guy. Taylor Decker 28) Kansas City Chiefs: One of the Chiefs very few weaknesses was consistent line play. Shon Coleman OT 29) Carolina Panthers: Carolina somehow put together a solid offensive year, but lack of weapons cost them a trip to the Superbowl. Tyler Boyd WR 30) Denver Broncos: This line needs improvement, to give their QB time and regain strength in the run game. Jerald Hawkins OT 31) Arizona Cardinals: The only weakness on this Superbowl winning team is pass rusher Jordan Jenkins EDGE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pick 1-22 Noah Spence EDGE, 6'3 261lbs The former 5 star recruit would be a top 10 pick if it weren't for the off field issues. Here is his chance to show he's an improved man, because we could certainly use him. He's lined up on both sides of the field, standing or hand in dirt, rushing or dropping back in coverage. He's our guy. Pick 2-5 Michael Thomas WR, 6'3 - 210 lbs He was apparently slow to pick up his college playbook, add that to his potentially average 40 time, and I can see him sliding down the draft. But this young man will be the best WR in the draft in my eyes, he's a very good route runner, and doesn't waste motion. Has great body control and projects to be a career long compliment to Perriman. Pick 2-21 (Texans): Darian Thompson FS, 6'2 - 210 lbs Darian is a very rangy and fluid athlete, he is often too aggresive but that is a problem that we will take right now in Baltimore, as we desperately need to create more turnovers. This young man will push Webb, and will eventually be the first team safety down the road. Pick 3-7: Kendall Fuller CB, 6'0 - 197 Uses his body well, and is a very fluid athlete. His only gripe, and it's a big one, is that he doesn't do a good job of turning and finding the ball. But before his injury he would have been long gone, and that's promising. Pick 4-6: Rashard ‘Hollywood’ Higgins WR, 6'2 - 190 lbs Completely depending on his workouts Hollywood may be here. He's a little skinny but is a fluid athlete and dominated his level of play like any smaller school athlete entering the draft should. Nothing too spectacular, but very balanced. We need consistency in our offense. Pick 4 Comp (Mcphee): Will Redmond CB, 5'11 - 186 Once considered a top 5 CB prospect, Will tore his ACL and will in result plummet down draft boards. Will is a serious athlete, and ran a 4.38 40 (in his team's facility) and was becoming a dominant force before he went down. With proper healing this young man will be the real deal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roster Changes WR1: SSS, Michael Thomas WR 2: Breshad Perriman, Hollywood Higgins Slot WR: Kamar Aiken, Michael Campanaro, Jeremy Butler Edge Rusher: T-Sizzle, Z'Darius Smith, Bryan Brennen Edge Rusher: Doom, Noah Spence Cornerback 1: Jimmy Smith, Tray Walker Cornerback 2: Shareece Wright, Will Redmond Slot Corner: Kendall Fuller, Will Davis FS: Ladarius Webb, Darian Thompson SS: Will Hill, Matt Elam You know the drill, critique it, yada yada. Be gentle
  3. Round 1: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida He’s been widely seen as one of the very best CB prospects the past two years, and would’ve likely been the top CB selected last year if he was eligible. He hasn’t demonstrated all the playmaking skills you want, but he’s very good and has leadership, played at a high level for years, and is technically sound. Round 2: Yannick Ngakoue, Edge Defender, Maryland One of the best OLB in the country, great use of hands, ridiculous first-step, explosive off the ball, and is arguably the most underrated OLB in the country. He played well against quality NFL-offensive linemen and beat many of them. Needs work as a DE but can learn behind Suggs and Dumervil. Round 3: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma Shifty and smooth route-runner with great hands with nice/adequate deep speed that should complement what we have in Perriman. Projects as a better and more durable Campanaro. Round 4: Joe Dahl, OT, Washington State One of the more underrated LTs, allowed one sack all year, nice feet and hands, smooth pass-protector but needs work in run blocking. He could rise after the combine, but this is where he will likely go. Round 4 (Gino Trade): Brandon Facyson, CB, Virginia Tech A good CB who I think gets lost in the CB shuffle this year, but he’s a competent player I expect we will look at taking as Ozzie Newsome doubles-down on the position after securing Hargreaves Round 4 (McPhee Comp): Kevin Byard, S, Middle Tennessee I wanted to take a guy like Bell or Thompson, but I think they are gone before we select. I do think one of them could potentially fall because safeties typically don’t go where projected. If Thompson or Bell is here, I would take them but Byard is a good consolation and has a nose for the ball. Round 4 (Smith Comp): Nick Kwiatkowski, ILB, West Virginia He’s a little light for the position but covers well, can play ST, and is a playmaker who is a good replacement for Arthur Brown/Albert McClellan if either of them aren’t back next year. PS: It's only the first four rounds. I neglected the two 6th round picks (likely, anyway) and obviously projected McPhee as only a 4th when he may net a 3rd.
  4. if we go back to 8-10 range then someone between stanley, hargreaves, and ramsey will fall through, ive soured a little on ogbah but i would still be willing to take him at the tail end. if all 3 of the guys i listed above are taken, then i think treadwell tickles our fancy a bit, which i wouldnt mind, but i dont love the value. i love the thought of getting an extra 2nd because im seeing some REAL talent in the top half of the 2nd, the wr's, then you have guys like ngakoue, fuller, thompson, bell, zettell, jenkins, bullard, and of course the guys who are inevitably gonna fall through the cracks, some of the guys i listed in another thread are worth a look, like adolphus washington, he would be a nice addition if we had a strong edge rusher to pair with him, getting 2 picks in the 2nd and getting adolphus washington and ngakoue back to back would be a nightmare for opposing OL's to block, also a 1-2 punch of edge rusher/db in the 2nd, or even a cb and a FS like fuller/thompson. being JUST out of range is so frustrating in the first round, but being right before a stretch of teams that need a qb puts us in prime position to look for some offers, and the 2nd round is looking alright for our needs
  5. I feel that Ramsey is a safety. He has all the skill sets in what you want in a safety and while he's solid as a CB, I just feel that isn't his natural position and that Hargreaves is easily the superior CB. I totally agree in terms of drop off at safety. It's not too apparent. While Ramsey is easily better than Bell or Thompson, both of those prospects are pretty talented. I would love to come away in the draft with either of them. I feel that while this is a solid CB class, it's not as strong as the safety class, which is just stacked. I've been impressed with Vonn Bell, Darian Thompson, and Jeremy Cash, and I see people here talk up Karl Joseph. There are also other safeties who I have yet to see who have gotten good reviews.
  6. Agreed Darian Thompson, tops my wish list for the mid rounds. It was amazing how much our better our D was last game as we forced three turnovers against the Rams...we need these type of Turnovers. Thompson consistently has done this with 5 INTs this year, 7 as a Jr., 4 as a Soph. and 3 as a fr.
  7. The best case scenario for tomorrow is Ramsey falls to #6. If Ramsey doesn't fall we should take the best possible trade offer and fall back into the middle of the first and collect picks for the second round, which in my opinion is absolutely full of prospects that could be massive difference makers: Alexander, Dodd, Joseph, Jackson, Burns, Boyd, Fuller, Thompson, Shepard, Cravens, among others.
  8. Great game, one day I hope to win/tie for the win 1. OT Laremy Tunsil2. Edge Joey Bosa3. WR Laquon Treadwell4. Edge Noah Spence5. Edge Shaq Lawson6. QB Kevin Hogan7. QB Nate Subfeld8. 9. With the 41st pick, the Chicago Bears select, Darian Thompson, FS, Boise State
  10. Too talented to pass up, just lost Casey Hayward. Plus Ted Thompson loves himself some CBs
  11. We do not draft an offense lineman until the fourth round. Rounds 1-3 will all be defense. Ramsey/Bosa/Jack at 6 or trade back within the top 10 and draft VH3. Spence/Nkemdiche(just a feeling)/Alexander/Cravens in the second. Tapper/Schobert/Kaufusi/Thompson in the third.
  12. Not sure why this got negged. After Ramsey I think it boils down to personal preference between cravens, bell, Thompson and Joseph.
  13. Joseph is too small to play the way he does lol. He's like a Bob Sanders, smaller guy with total disregard for his body and I worry he'll get injured a lot of just flat out fail to finish the play because of his size and reckless game. I don't see anything in neal, just average across the board. He's like a Anthony levine, just a long but very meh db. Tbh idek who the hell green is lol. I think the original consensus of safeties is pretty similar, jayron kearse took a tumble big time but ramsey, thompson, cravens, Joseph in the first 3 rounds and Kendall fuller as a possible convert all seem to be the consensus.
  14. I agree with everything there. Spriggs helps our line big time if he is there I feel. The funny thing is figuring out the value of safeties in this draft. Some have Neal, Green, and Joseph at pick 29-31, while others don't have them going until mid-second round. I think Webb and Weddle will help our center field from being so vulnerable, but we need an answer for the future. I wish Thompson was just a tad bit faster, but he does have great ball skills and instincts to not give up deep balls on the reg lol
  15. I think he's got one of the better backpedals and mirroring ability I've seen in a good while. He is stronger than given credit for too. I love spriggs in the 2nd if he's there and I hope he is, but cravens is my #2 unless dodd or Spence inexplicably fall. End of the 2nd and Calhoun or correa are available I Will be screaming for a trade, if we don't take cravens early 2nd I'm doing the same but I've seen lots suggesting that we love cravens. Also if we don't take cravens I'm hoping to land darian Thompson in the 3rd. Based on film alone I wanted him in the 2nd but he doesn't meet the prerequisite speed needed for FS, so with his size and smarts and instincts he could be a very good intermediate roamed and hhelp eliminate the center of the field, similar to how I see cravens for us just with less versatility.
  16. He had 3 ints in 2 years and I believe 2 forced fumbles but I could be wrong there On the other hand, sua cravens tripled ramseys int output in a far less coverage based role and also applied pressure as a legit occasional pass rusher, not just a blizting db. Just using cravens as a point of reference talking about turnovers and splash plays. Hell, darian thompson runs a 4.7 and blows ramseys splash play numbers out of the water. Now I know college production does not equal NFL prpduction and I'm not saying id take either over Ramsey even though I really like cravens, but you really would like to see more impact plays from a safety that could have been the first db drafted first overall in the history of the draft.
  17. Oh man, I'm just thinking about it now... Jalen ramsey and Noah Spence as our top 2 picks, with beavers, jones, broyhers, higgins, Thompson, or a high profile project athlete in the 3rd. Man I really hope the cards finally fall our way and we catch a break in the draft.
  18. What do you all think about Darian Thompson from Boise State?
  19. I think he's already being discussed all over this forum http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/search/?q=Thompson&type=forums_topic&nodes=67
  20. my immediate thoughts on Ravens type players are: Jordan Jenkins, Edge, Georgia Pharaoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina, Sterling Shephard, WR, Oklahoma Josh Garnett, OG, Stanford Matt Ionnadis, DL, Temple Yannick Ngakoue, Edge, Maryland Darian Thompson, S, Boise St.
  21. Darian Thompson ran a 4.53 and 4.55 at pro day.
  22. I still like Thompson I just don't see him in the same light. I still wouldn't really have a problem if we took him in the 2nd but I think he's a SS when I originally thought he would be a FS, he seriously lacks the range to play FS though, it was a concern and then his 4.7 40 time just validated those concerns, I think he could be very good covering TEs and roaming the intermediate. I liked him as our 2nd rounder because of his IQ and instincts in coverage but I didn't realize just how slow he was, he's definitely not my first choice anymore but I still see a place for him If we were to take him. I'll try to just choose my words more carefully I guess lol
  23. Well, I mean you say "I never liked Jaylon Smith" when in reality you did; however, it's just that your opinion changed. Instead of just saying "You know, I once thought highly of him and believed he could be a 3-4 OLB but I don't know what I was thinking there. Upon further review, I think I bit some on the hype and got a bit lost. I once said that he was better than Jack, but I realize now that Jack is better." That kind of stuff. That's qualifying your change of opinion--you're giving qualification to your changed view. I've noticed you do this quite a bit. I don't mind anyone changing their opinion. This is just a forum. I think what confuses me is you will talk up Darian Thompson like he's a top-10 guy and then you'll suddenly stop with no transition. It's hard to follow.

  25. Darian Thompson is probably the highest rated true FS, there's also a couple late round guys who both played a lot of deep coverage well i like a lot in Kevin Byard and Justin Simmons.
