Has there been any buzz about moving any TE's via trade?  We have a glut of TE's and I'd like to get something for one or two of them, rather than cut them  since I doubt we carry 6 into the season.  Do any have trade value?

I use overthecap.com to check out all things draft and salary cap.

Upshaw is more than likely better than any 4th or 5th rounder we may get next year.  

Granted the unknown is if the 2017 comp pick is combined w/ another pick to use for a trade, but still...  

And if you consider that the loss of upshaw results in us getting the osemle comp pick back, I'm ok with him going to Atl. 

 We swap Upshaw and Schaub for Weddle and Watson and get a third round comp pick next year.  Win-win!!

I know some will scream that we are letting our good players go, but KO said at the beginning of TC last year that he was hitting the FA market this year.  He wanted it.  I think the Ravens KNEW this and put him at LT the last 4 games for two reasons.

First, if he fails there he'd eat some humble pie and perhaps LG at the Ravens doesn't look so bad.

Second, if he succeeds, then he was leaving anyway and some team will OVERPAY as usual, thinking a guard/tackle will be their difference maker and thus assuring that the Ravens will receive a Rd 3 compensatory pick in '17.  Better than nothing.

I personally think they played this hand perfectly.

With that said I'd prefer to keep him rather than spend a high pick at LT or guard.

It sucks, the 9ers used him as a bargaining chip to acquire a player, for me that would consummate the trade.  But not if it wasn't put in the trade language.  If it wasn't then that's not what I expect from Ozzie and Co.

So are we getting a draft pick from the 9ers for the Nick Easton trade? Originally it was a conditional pick(I had read it was a 7th rd pick too), but then the 9ers traded him to the Vikings.  Anyone have an answer?
