Most of their good players are out. Green, Bernard, and probably Burfict all are out with injuries. Hopefully we give Dixon the day off so he can rest up for next year and give Buck Allen some more plays, see if he's worth keeping.

Normally I bash Joe for his erratic play (You can see my posts on older pages) but today he was the only reason we were in this game.
7 minutes ago, ALPHA said:He also had 4 years, I was never a fan of KC but as a rookie he deserves another 2 or so years to establish his role on the team.
Thats probably true, but what is frustrating is Myles Jack and Noah Spence were still on the board.

Keep Harbs for one more year, but do whatever it takes to get Gus Bradley as our DC, and then try to get someone Norv Turner as our OC
5 minutes ago, ALPHA said:I hope he can do something and isn't just another Arthur Brown.
Arthur Brown at least got on the field and made some plays.
3 minutes ago, Cville-Raven said:Poor plays lost us those game just as much as coaching hell if not more. In that redskins game mosely fumbles the ball out of bounds for a touchback. We keep the ball there we probably win that game. In the Giants game Weddle took out Tavon on the Beckham TD. That falls on the players not the coaches.
So blaming a middle linebacker for us only scoring 10 points on offense is the reason we lost that game? I can agree Weddle hurt us on that play, but we should have still had a 3 point lead. I agree the players play and the coaches coach, but did you see the bills this year? They had a bunch of scrubs playing on defense and they were still playing hard for Rex and were still a decent defense.
1 minute ago, robbie29 said:We weren't the better team. Stop it. We sucked then just like we sucked tonight.
I think holding the Redskins to 9 points total on offense is pretty good. We had 10 point leads on both Jets and Giants, before chocking. I think we are a good team that makes dumb mistakes which kills us
1 minute ago, Cville-Raven said:lol people saying fire everybody after a close loss to a better team
Its not just the loss. It includes losses to the Redskins, Giants, and Jets. We were clearly the better team in those games, but bad decisions lost them and now we are in this situation.
1 minute ago, sharkh20 said:I don't like Harbaugh, but whoever said Jeff Fisher. Please. Stop.
Not to be too rude, but did you have any other suggestions? A Jeff Fisher defense would not have given up a 75 yard game losing touchdowns. Plus his teams always play hard for him. Would it be a downgrade to replace Harbs with him? Yes. But instead of trashing someone with a bad idea, maybe you could offer up a better idea.
1 minute ago, OUravensfan said:Jeff Fisher over Harbaugh.
Yea why not, let's get the guy whose never won anything and thinks it's 1957, at least we can get good draft picks every year.
I'm not trying to be rude, you did say hear me out and I do agree QB development wasn't his strong suite, but nah, especially his hatred for the Ravens too.
He was the number 1 seed with the Titans back in 2008. But no, I understand why it probably wouldn't be the best idea. Plus I didn't know he hated Baltimore.
Just now, cnyravens said:Anybody!
This team can't close the deal in the 4th. Quarter.
What about Jeff Fisher? Now before you throw this comment away, here me out. His teams always have a solid running game and defense. The only thing he never had was a good quarterback. We have all three of those things. But hey, its just an idea.
I understand the logic behind firing Harbs, but who would we replace him with?

I try to forget that year. Those were dark times...
2 minutes ago, 808Blackbirds said:Noah Spence is smaller than kamalei .
Yes, but if you watch Tampa Bay games you'll see he's all over the place making an impact. Meanwhile the only thing Kamalei has impacted is the trainers tables
Too bad we didn't draft a good pass rusher like Noah Spence, and instead got some undersized injury prone linebacker in last years draft.
Just now, rafahash said:Please, just fire both coordinators. Please, for the love of God. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!
Fire Dean Pees tomorrow morning and go hard for Gus Bradley
Dean Pees lost us this game with his prevent defense.

I'm glad at least that you recognize that Joe doesn't play for our defense. I'm sure Joe would like to have that throw back and some of the other errant throws he made this year. He was man enough to stand up and say it was his mistake, which is more than I've heard from Marty Morningweg. How'd you like his erratic pitch to Dixon, his erratic TD pass to Aiken and the erratic TD pass he threw to SSS. HINT: Errant does not equal erratic.
I don't have anything against Flacco, its his inconsistency that is the real killer. If he could play every game like he did the Dolphins then it'd be OK, but right after playing lights out against a playoff team (The Dolphins) he proceeds to play awful. I think we can both agree that Joe is probably the only quarterback that can survive behind this offensive line, as well as play decently without having true star at either TE or WR
8 hours ago, frozen joe flacco fan said:So, Steve McNair, a Super Bowl QB and Vinny Testaverde weren't that good? Didn't Ben Rothlisberger just pass Vinny on the all-time passing yardage list for 10th place? Tyrod Taylor, Trent Dilfer and Randall Cunningham would probably disagree with you too that they weren't that good as you say. Do your homework! If you were the least bit objective, you'd probably agree that at least some of Joe's erratic play has been caused by the erratic play of his O-line and the erratic playcalling by two different OCs as well as the erratic decision-making by his head coach to eschew FG opportunities that would have put us into position to win one or more of the embarrassing losses to the Skins, Raiders, Jets and Giants. I would suggest that Joe would agree that he shouldn't be leading the league in pass attempts even though he came into today's game in 5th place in passing yardage this year. You and others on this blog confuse erratic play with erratic playcalling. That's all. If you want to call winning 8 games so far and being in a position to win the division as erratic play, that's your choice but I think you need to figure out the meaning of the word erratic.
Steve McNair was a good quarterback who I would love to have back, but unfortunately can't. When Testaverde played, he was good, but he was always injured. Why would I think Tyrod is a good quarterback when there are rumors he might not even make the Bills next year? Trent Dilfer? Is this a joke? No one would want him back, if not for the defense and run game, he'd be considered one of the worst quarterbacks to ever play. Didn't the offense go 6-7 games in 2000 without scoring a touchdown? Randall Cunningham was on the tail end of his career when he was here, he was average. I agree, Joe can't help that his O-line sucks and his OC's should be coaching high school football, however, it wasn't the OC's fault that Joe completely overthrew a wide open Mike Wallace against the Giants which would have resulted in a touchdown. I won't blame the Raiders game on him, it was not his fault Kendrick Lewis refused to do his job and letting Crabtree score a touchdown. Yeah, silly me, I just keep thinking that a 9 year quarterback has the ability to audible out of a dumb play call, or at the very least throw the ball away and live to see another down instead of trying to score a touchdown on every play.

This does not look like a playoff team to me. That being said, you newbies and all of your Flacco detractor friends are highly delusional. All you ever want to do is to blame Joe Flacco for every bad playcall that is sent in from the sidelines. Marty made the "All-time worst playcall in history" in the words of HC Harbaugh. The Ravens should have run the ball in that situation, period. Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh both took responsibility for the interception but neither called the play. The one who deserves a "game ball" for that bonehead playcall is Marty Morningwegh. It is time to start thinking about a successor to Joe but he is clearly the best QB in Ravens franchise history and that's saying something. The TD pass he threw to Steve Smith looked like a laser-guided missile and BTW it was thrown into zone coverage. Compare it to the "Hail Mary" pass thrown by Aaron Rodgers today to Jordy Nelson that got GB a 30-37 victory over the hapless Bears. Anybody could have thrown the latter pass. Very few QBs in the NFL could have thrown the former. You guys need to get real and get over it! You can thank Joe that we are at least in a position to win the Division and in control of our own destiny. If that doesn't happen, you can look back to enumerable bonehead decisions made by our HC in shoulda, coulda, woulda games that we lost to four teams not as good as ours. I exclude the losses to NE & Dallas. Nothing short of winning the Super Bowl will satisfy you Flacco detractors and that probably will not happen for many reasons, not the least of which you can attribute to our poor decision-making at the coaching level. Foolish penalties ought not be tolerated by a HC and they can be minimized, if not eliminated.
Just because my account is a low level does not mean I am a new fan. Yes, you're right, Flacco can't control what plays are called, but as a 9 year veteran you'd think that he'd know what an audible is, and possibly switch to a different play. He is the Ravens best quarterback by far, but when you consider the rest of the Ravens quarterbacks throughout the years, you'd know they aren't that good. While Joe is responsible for keeping us in the division, he's also cost us other games throughout the year with his erratic play. I'd be more than satisfied if Joe played like a 9 year veteran instead of 2-3 year player.
36 minutes ago, robbie29 said:Yeah, we are. Our offense is plain bad. We managed a whopping 11 yards rushing and 0 offensive TDs against the New York Jets. And that was just 2 weeks after we scored only 10 points against Washington. If our offense could have just taken care of business those games then we wouldn't be in the desperate must-win situation we are now.
Denver has the better quarterback right now, but outside of him we have a better offense. We have better running backs and tight ends, while their only advantage is better receivers.
2 minutes ago, OUravensfan said:Would only be true if Cincy took care of business, which of course they didn't, such a useless, [ profanity deleted] team I've had to live next to the last 15 years.
Yeah the bengals can never be trusted to do anything correctly.
Just now, Adreme said:Assuming the steelers beat the Browns week 17 it would not be a tie because they would have the better record.
Oh my mistake, I thought our records would be the same but we would have the tiebreaker over them.
If we beat the steelers and lose to the bengals, then we are still in due to our tiebreaker over pittsburgh.

I wouldn't mind either Eddie Jackson, Reuban Foster, Jonathan Allen, or even Ryan Anderson. All of them could make an immediate impact.
