If we pass on Tim William it better because we decided there was another play rated higher on the draft board. If we pass on him because of "character concerns" then we deserve to have a soft defense.
I really hope we can land either Tim Williams or Eddie Jackson from 'Bama. Both players would fill needs, and possibly be day one starters.

Agreed, why didn't Keenan Reynolds get on the field and show what he can do?
How is it that Cleveland is playing hard even though they have nothing to play for, while we should have played hard for SSS yet we played like garbage?
I don't think there was any good today outside of the plays made by Perriman to catch the ball and run to the 1, followed up by Dixon's touchdown.
1 minute ago, OLD SCHOOL SMASH BALL said:I hope Steve Smith comes back
Why would he come back to this mess?
What happened to the players and coaches saying they are going to play hard in this game? I thought this is a "character test".

sigh
At the current rate we're going, it'll probably be another 2-3 years before we are serious contenders.
1 minute ago, ravensdfan said:Which proves he's an idiot - something I've never said about him. This game means zero to Cincy or us - not even like we'll play spoilers. All a win here does is hurt our draft selection.
Sadly Baltimore will win this game like 34-13 and while it'll give another total win to his coaching record, it'll hurt the team long term because of the loss of good draft position.
I hate to say it, but the Pittsburgh deserves the praise they are getting. The NFL is just congratulating them on their playoff berth.
Just now, Purple Punishment said:I haven't posted in a long time. I felt this was a good time to come back. I watched an abysmal offensive game plan ( calling a 5 yard stop route for ALL 3 receivers on a 3rd and 15 ) and a real failure to execute. Flacco cannot hit a receiver in stride. I counted on two hands how many times a receiver had to turn around and or stop his route for the ball. Unacceptable.
On defense, failure to generate any kind of real pass rush. Our corners were meh. If our one strength (stopping the run) held true, we would be looking at being in playoff contention next week. Bell assaulted us when he was needed to pull off a run.
We do have some bright spots on offense and defense but we are not a polished product capable of making a playoff run. Especially a deep run.
We need a good draft. We had a wonderful opportunity to get a solid pass rusher in the draft and we traded back for Correa who has done what? 2nd rounders should be difference makers. I could go on forever. This team isn't ready to hoist that Lombardi for another 2 years
First off I'd like to say thank you for your service.
While Flacco did suck this game, half of the time he had defenders closing in on him so that could have effected his throwing. Dumervil has probably played his last down for the Ravens, and even if we had Smith, I'm not sure if he would have helped that much because of the lack of pass rush. After the NE game, I think our defense started to question itself after allowing Blount to run over them. I agree we need depth more than anything right now, and theres another topic around here where I questioned our pick of KC over Noah Spence and Myles Jack. Lastly for as bad as we were today at least we're not Denver.
4 minutes ago, PuRock said:Reports. I'll believe it when I see it. The WRs we have taken in early rounds are Mark Clayton, Torrey Smith, and Perriman. All of whom would be on the ultra good side of character.
" All of whom would be on the ultra good side of character." I'm getting tired of getting "good character" guys. Look at how far bad character players like pollard and Ed Reed did back in 2012 for us. Just imagine how beastly our defense would be if we took a late round pick on Burfict. Sure you can't take dumb players like Pacman Jones, but still its upsetting for me at least to see us lose our mean streak that we once had
Just now, PuRock said:I'm with you though. I would love to get a dominant #1 WR. Sadly with Ozzie and John running the show, they will probably never take a chance on a super diva like OBJ, Dez, or Sammy, which rules out a lot of top playmakers at the position. Because they don't fit the "Ravens culture"
Actually there were reports that Baltimore was going to take Dez but Dallas jumped one spot in front of us. Sammy went #4 and OBJ went 13th. Unless we traded up there is no way they were going to come to us. Luckily for us this draft has good receivers in it.
1 minute ago, ravens rule said:Going into flacco's 10th season why is WR still a huge question mark ?
No clue. Every elite QB has at least 1 great receiver. Brady has edelman, Rodgers has Jordy, heck even Winston has Mike Evans.

He's lost his speed to play every play, but he's still good enough to be a 3rd down pass rusher. I do agree that we have young players in key positions, but after losing games like today and against the jets, something has to change. Yeah it sucks the SSR has his HOF career end like this.
Just now, K-Dog said:Depth at corner.
I forgot that point. We should try to get Adoree Jackson with our 2nd pick
4 minutes ago, ravens rule said:Impact players like the ones in Pittsburgh, KC, Oakland and Denver. The front office hasn't found an elite player the last four years. Bad contracts kept us from keeping keleci & McPhee.
Agreed, how is it that Pittsburgh has found many small receivers like Brown, Eli Rogers, and that new guy Ayers(?) while we struggle with Chris Moore type of players. No disrespect to Moore, but he's not as good as those others yet
A couple of things we need to do in order to make a Super Bowl run next year.
1. Aquire interior offensive lineman either through the draft or FA
2. Draft a pass rusher with the our first pick and let him start and have Suggs play on passing downs only
3. Get our Safety position figured out. Either draft a Safety or get someone younger to replace Webb
4. Add more playmakers for Joe to throw to
7 minutes ago, NYCRAVEN4LIFE said:We were one of the most highly penalized teams in the league. That's coaching. The players dont respect Harbs. Bring in a guy like Parcells and see how fast that changes. Bring in a headcoach that puts the fear of god into his players. Not some young punk like Josh McDaniels. You think an athlete making $20 million a year gives a damn what Josh McDaniels is telling him to do? Lol come on
You can't say having a "drill sergeant" type of coach works for every team. Mike Zimmer is one of these coaches and look at the Vikings and their current mess regarding reports of locker room dysfunction and how the players have completely tuned out Zimmer. 5 minutes ago, Cville-Raven said:I don't really see how that is much of an improvement. You're still spending a top 50 pick on a backup player.
Either way top 50 picks are supposed to help your team immediately, not play 5-10 snaps on special teams every game. Remember back in July when there were articles published about how much of a "tasmanian devil" he was during team scrimmages? What happened to that?
10 minutes ago, frozen joe flacco fan said:With a relatively strong nucleus of returning veterans and a pretty good group of younger players, we had a group of under-achievers. Our management team, led by Coach Harbaugh failed even to return to the playoffs.
Kind of unrelated but you can apply this to the Vikings situation as well.
2 minutes ago, Cville-Raven said:Where does Myles jack fit into the equation on this team?
Noah spence ,Thomas, and Boyd are the only guys I would really be kicking myself over.
Maybe having a solid backup MLB who can rush the passer as well as drop into coverage, instead of one who struggles to make the field.
25 minutes ago, K-Dog said:Right now I don't care...
I agree with you to an extant, but after blowing a playoff spot we might as well start preparing for next year.

Its hard not to. Look at all those people drafted after us who are making impacts for their respective teams. To name a few, "Micheal Thomas, Su'a Cravens, Mackenzie Alexander..." and the list goes on who would be great on our team. We don't really need Cam Robinson because we have Stanley. If we were to draft a center I like Pocic out of LSU
