  1. All I ask is upon release people check out or boards lol . @flynismo , upon open I loved to get in touch but for now me and my friend have been working hard and I see it as a personal project for now, but in the future I loved to get in contact. A message for all, I am looking to not only keep the community together, but expand the forums to articles where you amazing fans with opinions can write nonbias reports without being restricted in addition to other growths. Ex: Would you ever see an article posted on here about how Ozzie's picks have been dipping? Garret and Ryan would be fired in a split second. I love the current simplicity but I know you guys could love it as more.
  2. Good point. I can look in a transfer merge or some way to figure that out. Would indeed be nice to work something out. He stated he would like to find away to a growing community, and a combination may certainly be mutualistic. (just read his post). Finding ways to converge ideas and information would be useful.
  3. hasn't been released to public yet, but I'm working hard to finish it i'm sure you and the others will love this new community home!
  4. Hey guys, I know coming from someone with nearly no posts this seems strange, but I have been a daily reader of these forums dating back to 2011 and I've had a few different accounts here and there. I am currently a studying graphic designer, and me and my friend are currently producing a new forums page and I would appreciate it if you guys could check it out at launch, I know you will love it. I am working hard to duplicate it as close to these forums as possible, but adding a small point of my personal touch. I would hate to see this community fall apart, ranging from Biolizzard, to sami, and even wizards doomsday posts, I've learned to love this community just as much as my ravens. I don't want to deal with clueless Facebook fans, and you guys sure know your stuff. The launch date of the new forum will be May 5th. Apologies for the time, but as a student I'm extremely busy with finals this week. If you have any feedback or suggestions please just email me: forums@purpleflock.com ; this will be a well run and developed community. I only share this now to spread the word before the boards close. This community doesn't have to die. It will take some time to get to full potential, but I can ensure you a safe and efficient board with lots of room to grow. Later down the line (after launch and growth), I would love to write some articles myself, along with having those wiling and capable submit their own articles for use! Thanks for the read and check us at https://purpleflock.com !!
  5. He went to the same high school I am currently enrolled in, hart (sadly the same high school as kyle boller). I watched him play on Friday nights at football games with my older sister. He will be amazing as a returner this guy is a playmaker, great that we got him
  6. Especially after the game yesterday, we can start to figure this team out. Do we have a shot at winning the Super Bowl right now? No. Is it possible and do we have the potential to change? Yes. People need to understand, we aren't going to blow teams out. I see us finishing 10-6 with a wild card. We are lucky we have times to figure things out with this light first half schedule. But right now, if we fought a heavy weight, 9/10 times we would lose. We won't "Steeler" teams out, but we can win dog fights. If the run game continues to roll and Marc finds a brain, this offense can be good for 23-25 points a game. I am confident in our defense. We need to get on another roll and win the next 3 weeks, we have until after our break until Pitt. until then, we are simply a 2009 Ravens type dangerous but fairly weak wild card team.
  7. I am really interested to see where the rookies end up playing and how much they play. I thought we drafted Correa to replace Upshaws role but it seems he is playing inside backer? If anyone has idea to what position he is going to play update me because honestly I'm baffled lol.I am actually a bit scared for our run defense. Upshaw is a big loss on the edge, we only know of one inside backer (CJ) and neither webb or Weddle are good against the run. At the second and third level opposing backs could definitely do some damage.
  8. No I agree here 82 was amazing and way exceeded 2nd round expectations, however I am saying he could have been so much better imo. He was a great deep ball threat, and I thought he could be basically a new Reggie Wayne if he could develop some under routs. You have to recall, only once did he surpass 50 catches, and that was 2013, were I could have probably been fore feed 50 catches. That was also the only time he sniffed 1000 yards. Like I said very good, but could have been great.
  9. I thought of putting Torrey but felt I would get slaughtered. I agree completely he didn't approve much at all after his rookie year. He was a very good player to start, but I always thought he could be better.
  10. I get the preseason not meaning much but at the same time I always keep an eye on the guys who constantly make plays, wether it's practice preseason or trash time. Interesting take on Asa however, not even as a special teams ace did you not see him shine? I thought with his blocking and talking skills he could be a solid player (similar to Brendon Ayanjebadjeo (?) ) Although Marlon was force fed the ball the ball getting 7 touchdowns as an underrated rookie free agent, yes please. As for Tandon, he always showed a tough streak and ability to catch long balls. I checked and their was a span in 2013 where over 5 games, he averaged three catches for 53 yards, and had 5 plays of over 20 yards, including a 40 yard and a 60 yard. After that he fell off completely for the rest of his career. For me I could care less about a players size or measurements or speed etc, if they produce I approve.
  11. second times the charm
  12. I remember being mad when we didn't take him in the first round. But also being mad we didn't take Keenen Allen. When we traded with I think Seattle I knew we were going to get a side line to side line backer with great coverage skills. Boy was I wrong. To be fair however, look at the 2013 draft class. Possibly the worst in the last 20 years.
  13. I forgot about Jah, I believe he is doing very well in K.C right now. I remember in 2013 we thought Doss would be the new A.Q but he couldn't even beat out JJ for the 2nd receiver. Disappointing he was so strong and had pretty nice hands.
  14. Something about WR's failing on us. Lets hope camp can change this.
  15. I haven't been on these forms sense about 2011 and decided to make a new account. Anyway, this topic is to discuss Ravens players who showed potential or had the skills to be a great player but never really panned out. I couldn't find any threads related to this but apologizes if I'm missing something. (Note: this isn't busts, but players who showed potential but it just didn't workout) For me, here are some of my top options: Marlon Brown. This guy was a beast his rookie season. Seven touchdowns in his rookie season with won of the worst ravens lines of all time. Not to mention that catch against the Vikings in the end zone I went crazy. Tandon Doss. For years we talked about him being the next Boldin and coming in the slot for a solid contribution, but he never panned. I remember Flacco hand picked him out of Indiana to play for us but he washed out and went to Jacksonville I think. And then Asa Jackson. He was always a fan favorite for me. He was never that good of a corner but He was a hard hitter and always got a ton of turnovers in the preseason. I will never forget him for special teams all his crazy blocks, even some this year I think he had 2 or 3. Also I could be mistaken but in the Super Bowl he forced a missed kick but it was called back on a questionable call. This guy was quick. Crazy to see him burn out so fast.
