Hmm, maybe I confused Wormley with McDowell. I just felt like there was a reason that we shouldn't draft him. But whatever, welcome to Baltimore Chris Wormley.

guys like @JoeyFlex5 had him as a 4th round talent (and i find it hard to disagree although ill delve back into the tape again of course now) which is probably some of the reason you might be down on him by osmosis but im not aware of any effort or attitude issues...

What are some postitives you see in the Wormley pick? I'm very happy with the others, but I'm not exactly sold on him.

i'd have to go back into the tape to be honest - he's a guy i dismissed early on but for his size he's surprisingly athletic and flexible with some good upside - but id like to hold on to anything more expansive til i go back into the film

McDowell, Brantley and I think Montravious Adams had that knock but can't say I've heard that about Wormley.

never heard that about adams and i thought the mcdowell effort criticisms were harsh... but yeah - lots of dlinemen being accused of low effort

Does Wormley have effort concerns? I'm not positive, but I thought people had mentioned something like that in the draft section. Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

it feels like all of the dlineman have been accused of low-effort - cant remember with wormley tbh at this point in the process

I agree with that. I don't want our RB's getting tackled before they can even get back to the LOS or Joe getting strip sacked a few times a game or even worse - getting injured.

i value the position and worry about it - but outside of the wormley pick i dont see a lineman value-wise that i'd prefer to our defensive picks

Yep, in my  opinion he should have gone off the board ages ago. Even if he's a safety at the next level the guy is just a playmaker and is polished - which might be the reason he's still around, maybe he has maxed out his potential already.

when i did my initial evaluations i had him as a a top 7 corner... to have him go below rasul douglas is a bit of a wake up call for me

I mocked him to us in the 3rd in one of my mocks and was told that was crazy.

Had a feeling he'd be a Raven all along and would've been happy with him at 16, 47 or 74.

    Steal. Absolute steal.

i think the words i used were "wishful thinking" - i'll happily eat those words because he was the 13th player on my board and we got him in the 3rd round

So we grab in O lineman late and pray? Great strategy.

Nice ignoring the fact that this is ridiculous. It literally makes zero sense. Admit it, there is zero sense in this FA & draft and ignoring the side of the ball that lost the most during the off season and wasn't a powerhouse before it took those losses. How does that even make sense?

I still can't believe we got Williams where we did. That front will be scary regardless of everything else but with the secondary we just built, it turns into total nightmare for any team facing us.

oh man if these picks pan out we've nailed it

Our WR corp may not be impressive but the Steelers secondary is not either. Maybe we can at least pass for a few yards against them.....lol

im more worried about our oline and our run game given that we might have some holes... not that i wanted us to pick olineman but i still worry about that position
