  1. if william jackson iii ends up in a good situation like marcus peters last year, i think he could end up being the droy - he likes to gamble and that means splash plays (albeit he'll get beaten often as well but that's not what the voting is about) - although corners very rarely win

But if he can't play for a long time what's the point?

it'd be nice to have players for a long time but I'd rather have a great player last a little bit than have standard starter level players - for me it's worth the risk because the ravens need playmakers not safe starters

You don't think it will affect him for 5 or 6 years? Then maybe a team will select him if they think a surgery can help him. That is still a sticky situation and I can see him dropping and that kills the Ravens board.

even without surgery, getting a great player for 5-6 years in an nfl where longevity isn't guaranteed is pretty good - especially as most of those years will be played under a rookie contract

Yeah I just read the article on NBC and they basically said what you guys said... Not good. We better pray that San Diego takes Ramsey or someone not named Tunsil or we will be on the wrong side of getting a great player in this draft.

even if jack does have these issues though, we get the other premier player on the list of 5: if Tunsil, Ramsey and Bosa are gone and we don't like Jack then we trade back, or we take hargreaves or stanley or buckner - either way we get a franchise player. And if all these Jack reports are just hot air then I trust the team to have confidence in their own information rather than nbc's. We either get Jack in that situation (healthy) or we get one of the other premier players even if we have to trade back...

I've always been pretty skeptical on his footwork...his base placement seems pretty thin and imo his feet are way to close together to have a strong base to anchor, add that with his relatively tall play and he may have some issues. I may look back now as it was a while back I watched any videos on him but at the time I don't remember being too keened up.

for me he projects more as a guard, particularly in his first year which will help cover up some of his footwork deficiencies but I seem him as a worse version of andrus peat from the 2015 draft but he'll get drafted at a similar position i think
