  1. and even then, it would be to get ahead of the browns or the giants - and i dont see the browns with their analytics taking a rb at 8 anyway
  2. unfortunately, you've basically given the reason we won't pick burns there - if there's a run on corners, it means that other higher graded prospects are falling - and oz and eric will stick to bpa because it's almost like their religion - burns might go, but if there's a run it won't be to the ravens unless we have a much higher grade on him than other teams
  3. i guess the question for me, then, is whether the chargers would have buckner above ramsey on their board or whether they would be reaching for fit either way, if their real choice is between buckner and tunsil rather than tunsil and ramsey then the board feels a lot simpler
  4. with the 51st pick in the 2016 nfl draft, the new york jets select Le'Raven Clark OT Texas Tech
  5. if buckner does go to the chargers, i think the only way the ravens don't get tunsil is if it someone trades up with the jags (albeit they seem to be in love with jack and won't necessarily want to risk losing him by trading back) because dallas seems to be closed for business in trade terms
  6. daniel jeremiah seems to think that the chargers might have deforest buckner ahead of both ramsey and tunsil - this is the second consecutive mock draft he's been put there and jeremiah's only reasoning for him being there is ' Lots of rumblings about the Bolts taking Buckner over Jalen Ramsey and Laremy Tunsil. '
  7. maybe we do this - but at the end of the day ozzie and eric will take whoever is top of their board when they got on the clock regardless of their position
  8. he's a camp body but one who i'm sure we'll get daily updates on once we get to camp at least we probably get to see him play in live football in the preseason before we discard him - as long as he makes it there
  9. BSHU has tough entry requirements
  10. i love that 4th round but im not sure tapper, ngakoue and cyrus jones all make it as much as id love all 3 - if this happens ill be elated but i can definitely see both tapper and cyrus jones being taken in the mid-late 3rd by someone
  11. he made that bet before the two trades meant that two qbs were definitely going 1 and 2
  12. i mean a 3rd rounder this year should also be a starter so you're asking to forego an equally good prospect in the first just for a position you consider a bigger need and in return we lose a potential good player in addition in the draft i'd always lean towards more picks (especially in the first 2 days of the draft) coz its better odds of getting a player
  13. i think we have to seriously consider dallas taking bosa which would leave the ravens with one of jack tunsil or ramsey depending on san diego - of course this is only one possibility but also buckner is occasionally mocked to san diego which would significantly improve the ravens chances of getting one of those above three for me i think the pick is either gonna be tunsil or its gonna be jack on thursday night
  14. i agree that ramsey is probably the only one of tunsil and ramsey not going to be available but considering there is a 100% chance on the availability of bosa, jack, ramsey and tunsil and probably about 50% chance of tunsil or ramsey making it
  15. that's true, but i'd rather take someone who doesn't need the easier matchup to make the play and then give them the easier matchup and see what they can do rather than someone who showed only their best play when they had help
  16. well i don't know where you got the SF from and I haven't checked but the only place I've seen the browns being interested in jack at 2 was in nfl.com mock drafts - that's not to say they aren't interested in him at 8 i think my main issue is i've not seen hide nor hair of this report that two of the top 10 teams have him off their board
  17. no point trading because he or tunsil (who i rate more highly) could well be there at 6.. why give away a valuable 3rd for a player of an equal playing ability and also at a position of need
  18. i agree, for me it's not that i'm damning him for putting in lots of effort because that's valuable but at #6 i want to see him dominant and not being forced so deep to turn the corner that he's out of the play i think it also helps you be more effective when there's a good rusher on the other side (as in 2014 with spence)
  19. i saw somewhere (maybe bucsnation) that they seem to think that the bucs are the other team that won't take him - which would mean the ravens are fine if it's only two - although i haven't seen those "reports" about 2 of the top 10 teams at all
  20. i'm not down on bosa, i just think he's not worth a 6th. you're right that i'd love him if we were picking at 10 - in fact if we could get him at 10 with a trade back i'd be ecstatic. I agree he had a much higher floor than upshaw, but I don't see him bullying defenders like suggs - for me he won in college because his technique was better than everyone else rather than any game wrecking ability obviously if he's the pick then i bow to the better judgement of Oz ane Eric but I worry about how deep he has to get to turn the corner in a lot of his tape
  21. stanley and hargreaves both go in the top 15 picks and most likely the top 10, spence might fall to the end of the first in which case there is a shot in this scenario if you trade back in the first and up in the second but i reckon someone takes a chance in the 20s
  22. i think hargreaves is definitely gone by 9 when the bucs pick (unless bosa is there and even then they might take hargreaves) but that could mean one of the other premier players is still there at 10...
  23. the problem with bosa is that while he is going to be a solid player, he doesn't strike me as someone who will take over games - i prefer spence, lawson, dodd, and even floyd as edge guys but obviously they are riskier moves - if I'm honest if Bosa's the pick at 6 then I'd trade back and take one of those other guys - the ravens need playmakers not solid average-good starters
  24. but the reason biscotti is such a great owner is that while he is honest about his preferences, he leaves the team building to the experts like oz - so its in ozzie's hands - if the bpa is defense then they go defense but if tunsil is their bpa then they take tunsil
  25. they do pass if the other option is tunsil
