  1. I don't think anyone's arguing with that, especially given that he didn't get the designation last year when they had to pre-announce it
  2. I can't wait for his first live snap even if he whiffs a block on a run play that goes nowhere near him
  3. maybe they are (i doubt it) but what's the point in rooting against your own team even if you have bad leadership - you might as well, i dunno, support a different team? if people gave up on teams with bad leadership then half the teams in the league wouldnt have any fans at all - especially the browns
  4. yeah the ir boomerang tagging has changed this year you dont need to specify who now until you activate one - so you just ir everyone and then pick who to boomerang
  5. Ok but what about the rest of it?
  6. It almost feels like some of you don't want perriman to work out through sheer pride or something. Give the kid a chance, he's had two injuries and only one of them has kept him out of any games so far. Give him a break, it's not his fault that his injury was repeatedly misreported...
  7. im pretty confident juice is a lock because of the way they are not really using him in preseason - he comes out with the starters plays a few snaps and then clocks off for the night im pretty sure buck, and dixon are locks and forsett is pretty much ingrained as the starter until he gets beaten out or gets injured, so west would be the odd man out and i always thought he'd have to have an amazing camp to make the roster which he appears to have had - which means for me he has either done enough and we carry 5 (including juice) or he hasnt in which case he gets cut
  8. in my head, i imagine they'll maybe play the potential matchups but i know its more likely that it'll be a particular tight end that ends up 4th on the depth chart
  9. albeit he has already proven himself a - to a certain extent - effective receiver
  10. on the flipside if he's healthy enough to be an option he is likely good enough to start which means i see either maxx or crockett spending time inactive
  11. i hate the fact that you are always right lol
  12. that's my point - nobody's looking at him with hindsight - we look at urban as unlucky whereas perriman is apparently injury prone yet they had similar injuries
  13. i think it's one of those where eventually it will be more than one player (it only makes sense) and will happen as inevitably rosters expand as well (makes even more sense)
  14. you wanna let go of a first rounder that we only drafted last year? who by all accounts looked great in both offseasons before he got injured? you're not even curious to see if he can play at all - you just wanna get rid? Nobody said cut KLM or cut Urban and they were gone much longer than perriman. The team didnt even cut Elam after playing awfully his second year and then getting injured.
  15. cant go back on pup now that he's off it - they must be pretty confident he's coming back
  16. what's crazy is that he's missed only one year so far - more than KLM, more than Urban etc did before they played in a game and yet he's under the cosh (i know its because hes a 1st rounder but still... its vaguely insane)
  17. dont forget moore if he works out
  18. butler came back well...
  19. what i meant was, he doesnt seem to be coaching players to play this way - they are all too comfortable giving away that buffer when we know jimmy (for example) can jam effectively at the LoS and has done in the past successfully players playing badly obviously is on the players first - but when their methods are continually unsuccessful that does have to come onto the coaching too i however am of the opinion that it is not all pees fault - im just considering the ways you could maybe blame him for the 10 yard drop (which i hate, but understand the reasons for it for the mostpart)
  20. what i hate about the local beat writers on some of their opinions etc. is that they just parrot each other which is useless to a foreigner like me who can't go down to practices so the only things i see are the "highlights" or the preseason games to work out myself what's going on some of the members of this forum carry opinions in very educated ways that as a relative newcomer to the game have taught me a lot how to think about football and in particular free agency and offseason related things i would subscribe to that podcast in a hearbeat as the only thing that gets me close to consistently trustworthy (or in hindsight correct) analysis i find, weirdly, is the around the nfl podcast but it is for the whole nfl so is far too broad for the ravens-centric analysis I'd like
  21. probably not - although up to a certain point you could argue if they've been doing it for seasons uncorrected then if they are lining up at an undesirable depth then they should have been coached better (which you could blame on the DC and the secondary coaches) - or they are where they are supposed to be in which case you can also blame the DC if you disagree with that philosophy lol
  22. i agree that he's not good (or important) enough for ir boomerang (as proved by urban being chosen for recall ahead of him) but surely the hope is that he's the only candidate because everyone else has been healthy all season ...
  23. It was the same injury that got him checked out under concussion protocol but otherwise I'm completely sure
  24. Could this be phantom I/r calling?
  25. i dont think so - he's put nothing on film worth other teams putting on their 53 and youd think hed do the sensible thing and stick around on baltimore's ps rather than another team's because hell know the system
