  1. The interior d line is just fine, barring no injury. of course. Another corner and some O line men.........like a few O line men, and the ravens should have a pretty good roster.
  2. I don't know why fans are so obsessed with wr, passrusher and running back. Two out of three of those positions will not matter if they don't have a decent line. The running backs were getting hit in the back field last year, and as much of a bone head I think Flacco is, in his defense, he again had no time to throw the ball.
  3. If the Ravens can fix the O line like they did the secondary I will be very optimistic about the Ravens season, and I would not have said that a few months ago. I still think we are one year away from a super bowl run though. I think the wild card is a possibility for the Ravens, I don't see them winning the division if Pittsburgh stays healthy though.
  4. I agree with this post Did you guys see the Ravens run game and passing game last year? It wasn't do to not having receivers or running backs, but more so the fact that Joe Flacco, had zero time to throw the ball, and the backs were getting hit in the back field. The O line needs to be fixed, regardless of which round it is in
  5. Absolutely, Maax showed a lot of promise but injuries have hindered his development. I also loved seeing Gilmore in action and hope beyond hope that those two can stay healthy as take that next step. Im also extreemly excited to see what Kafusi has to offer but I don't want to get too hyped then get my heart broken. All three of those guys listed are not the FO fault but just bad luck. Correa on the other hand scares the heck out of me. I think he can be a top pass rusher in this league but don't get why we are trying to convert him to ILB. out of those 4. I just want 2 to pan out and I'm good lol Correa has the size, and if he can run with te's and add some speed in the middle that would be great. They really do need to find what position he is best suited for and stick with it rather than try him at various positions. Hopefully he comes into his own this year. I'll try to stay optimistic. He has the big tackles in front to let him roam free, and we really locked up the secondary, I am actually really impressed. One of the biggest weaknesses and now one of the biggest strengths. Still worried about the O line. Really like to see them get a tackle in the first and possibly the best center in the second. If they can build a dominate offensive line, the Ravens should be pretty good team next year.
  6. He is a great tackler and belongs more at nickel, since a lot of teams are using 4 receivers, I think he will get used more efficiently and really adds depth to the secondary, something the Ravens have not had in a long time. Good move
  7. We haven't drafted the best since the Super Bowl, but in the Ravens defense, they got stuck with some really bad contracts, which included paying suggs, webb, pitta, a lot of money to sit on the bench with injuries, plus ray rice, and eugene monroe killed us, plus not having Matt Elam come through was a big disappointment. Good news, is that next year all these bad contracts will be off the books and the Ravens should be in much better cap shape at least.
  8. I like your thinking. The only question is will the Panthers take it? They two are rumored to want to move up. Ravens have way too many holes to give up picks, stay at 16 or trade back.
  9. There should be a great offensive tackle at 16. I hope they don't trade back, I don't care who we have at receiver or running back. If they can't protect flacco or push the other teams line, the offense will suck big time. Two tackles in back to back years........Go Ravens I like that mock draft..........O line please. Moving up 25 spots is a lot. Good move in my opinion. I would take a corner in the second though and center in third. Smith, Correa, and Judon, have to come through.
  10. There should be a great offensive tackle at 16. I hope they don't trade back, I don't care who we have at receiver or running back. If they can't protect flacco or push the other teams line, the offense will suck big time. Two tackles in back to back years........Go Ravens
  11. I agree. Trade back 7-8 spots, pick up a 3rd or 4th Rounder and draft OT Cam Robinson. He's KO 2.0! Will still have stud CBs available with the 2nd Round pick. You can also package two of those 3rd Rounders to move back up into the 2nd for a pass rusher like Tim Williams or Carl Lawson. That could work IMHO We need an O line man
  12. I like this trade. I think moving 25 spots is a lot, especially considering it is in the 3rd round. We are stacked at D line any way (aside from pass rushers). I wouldn't mind the Ravens getting another tackle in the first, corner in the second, and a pass rusher and center in the 3rd. The Ravens really need to sure up the O Line and while another tackle in back to back years isn't glamorous, it would surely fill a need and hopefully sure up the line for at least 3-4 more years.
  13. Well to be honest, as good as Brandon Williams is, he is far from replaceable, and while having the best run defense is great, most teams end up thrown the ball anyway. Wagner is another one, who while is very good, you could not say he is elite. Alot of these burdened contracts that have been haunting us for years should finally come off the books this year. Such as Webb, Pitta, Watson, Lewis, just to name a few
  14. I agree, if those top 8 are available I think the Ravens have to pull the trigger, hopefully they fall, which could happen. If not, the Ravens should be able to get a very quality starter in the first. According to the mock drafts, which don't mean much. I think we could come away with one of the best o line man in the draft, and a very quality corner in the second, assuming that the draft is very deep at that position. The Ravens have many holes which need to be filled, but given their draft history, I think corner and O line needs to be sured up. We do well with with D linemen and line backers. Lets not even talk about about wide receiver. I really advocated for corner back last year in wanting to draft Hargreaves, but I can't be mad at Stanely, who should hopefully man the blind side for 4 more years. Conclusion, I hope they resign Wagner. Brandon Williams is not better than Snacks, nor should he paid as much. It's a pass happy league anyway, so I feel more value should go to Wagner. We have guys to rotate in if Williams leaves, the same can't be said about our tackle position.
  15. O line group is extremely thin this year. I don't know why you think Feeny would be there in the third round. I would not mind taking him at 16, or even trading down to get one of the three best oline man in the draft. That is if they are not all gone by 16. Feeny or Ramcyck or Cam would be a great pick up. As much as our secondary sucks, the overall rankings were not the worst. In contrast, 28th in rushing ( what i think I remember, didn't look up the stats) is horrendous and needs to be fixed
  16. I agree we need O line help, as I said previously. However, I would not be mad if they drafted an O line man with their 16th overall pick. I have to disagree with you when it comes to the Ravens drafting corners though. For one, the Ravens have not drafted a corner in the first round since Jimmy Smith, I don't think we have even drafted one in the first three rounds since Jimmy Smith. While Smith may not be a Revis, the Ravens surely miss him when he is out. I of course think we need secondary help, but the Ravens need a lot of help, and drafting an Oline men wouldn't be the worst idea. We should also not think about winning now, as I see it, the ravens are at least two years away from making a run. Lets sure up the trenches this year and hopefully secondary, than try and make a run 2018. We should also be in good cap space in 2018 and no major players will become UFA's.
  17. As much as the Ravens need secondary help, I of course could not get mad at them signing a corner or safety. However, I would not be mad if they drafted another offensive tackle, that could maybe solidify our offensive line for years to come. Not a glamorous pick by any means, but we cannot have our 120 million dollar quarterback running for his life anymore, and regardless of our receivers or running backs, there will not be much production in either passing or running game if we are not dominant up front. Plus corners should be plenty, where as O line help is very limited. Lets take what is most scarce.
  18. The Ravens could fill a variety of needs, but I do think corner should be a priority. My reasoning is that for one, the ravens secondary has not been good in years and having another good corner opposite to Smith would be something much in need. Also, the Ravens are never in great cap space, so signing a great corner in free agency just isn't going to happen due to how highly the corner position is valued. In addition, even though the draft is deep with corners, I do expect a sharp drop off in talent by the time the second round roles around. So again, it may prove prudent to draft a round 1 corner, even though it may not be the best player available.
  19. Trade up in the 1st round of the 2013 NFL draft for... EJ Manuel Or sit at 32 and pick... Geno Smith Legends like Tim Tebow, Matt Casell, Kevin Kolb, Matt Moore, and Ryan Fitzpatrick were veteran free agents at that time Or trade a whole bunch of capital for a QB that a team was willing to part with and let Flacco walk for a 3rd-round compensatory pick. Or, sign Flacco to a long-term deal he earned. Thank you. Flacco will be on the team for another two years, so you guys really need to get over it. He is not going to be traded or cut until at least 2019. Looking at his contract details, you should be able to clearly see why..........you guys are really beating this into the ground, get over it, he's here till 2019.
  20. Brandon Williams can't be traded because he no longer has a contract with the Ravens. I agree that Wagner is much more of a priority than Williams. We really have to give Flacco some protection/security, along with improving the run game. Brandon Williams is a run stuffier who does not get to the quarterback, which to me is another example of an average player. Kinda like Pitta who led the league in catches, but can not block. Brandon Williams is not a play maker nor should the Ravens pay him like he's one.
  21. It's not a huge cap savings and he should only be cut if the ravens can find a better replacement. I think cutting the six veterans above would be wise along with Pitta and Watson. Yea I know Pitta was the best pass catching tight end (helps when the quarterback has no one else to throw to too), but I feel everyone above is just average at this point in their careers and the Ravens need to get out of these big contracts on players that aren't producing at a high level. I also think Brandon Williams is replaceable and that Wagner should be more of a priority than Williams, given the Ravens O Line woes throughout the past few years. I am also not completely sold on Wallace, who relies solely on speed to get open. Also, the Ravens receivers are just not good, so it is hard to compare him to other receivers on the team. Moreover, Wallace may indeed just be better than the Ravens current receivers, which sadly isn't saying much.
  22. Since good free agent corner backs command huge salaries, which puts Baltimore out of contention, I would say you have to draft corner back. Hopefully the Ravens have a good/big center or tackle sitting there at 48 for the their second pick. If we could sure up our secondary and O line up this year, that would pay dividends for the future and hopefully the Ravens will ready for a run in 2018......... Hopefully
  23. I'd like to see them take the money that we'll spend on Brandon Williams and use that money on a good wide receiver. The Ravens are bosses at signing D Linemen where as wide receivers they lose ever time..........at least through the draft that is.
  24. I think that Wagner may be more likely to sign than Williams. Although who knows. Snacks Harrison who is a better lineman than Williams, signed for 46 mil with 24 guarantee with a 9 mill APY. If Williams makes less than that, which he should since he is not on the same level as Snacks, I would say Williams should be very much in Baltimores price range. Although, you still have teams like the Oakland Raiders, who will spend 50 mil for a guard. Little steep. I think at this Juncture the Ravens can afford to lose Williams, because the Ravens have always been good at drafting D Lineman and Williams does not get many sacks. If we lose Wagner, that leaves two holes on the O Line ( assuming Zutta may be out the door, only if we can find a replacement ) Where as with Williams position, the Ravens have good depth.
  25. I agree, it should be ran like the Federal Reserve and the US Govt..........My best analogy.
