  1. Considering Flacco is the most consistent QB in the league at throwing 3 yard passes I'd love to see what he'd be able to do with Howard. QB/TE connection is important so it's hard to compare productivity but this may be the missing piece for Flacco since Pitta initially started getting injured, plus there are plenty of receivers I'd be happy with in the middle rounds
  2. There's a big difference between where you could see someone going and where you think they will actually go. Can't really factor that into a mock otherwise every team would have 3 possible picks. If he is taken before the Bengals I will be shocked. Just curious who your top 3 is...
  3. Top 3 talent has nothing to do with it. I don't think Foster is even in question until pick 9, and the potential suitors for Foster could easily pass on him for a more ideal position. If we end up going Davis/Williams then I would be just as happy. I think those are probably the best three that could end up at 16
  4. I'd love to address every position possible, but I decided to not go the most recent route, and actually focus on quality instead of quantity. Seen plenty of players come in go over the recent years, many who only ever played on special teams. Seems like certain positions have been a draft need year after year. When is the last time the Ravens kept two guys from the same draft class after their rookie contracts were up? Sidney Jones might be my least favorite pick, yet in the 2nd round I'd say thats a solid pick
  5. I tried to make this with no trades, as the board dictates this on draft day, but I do believe the Redskins deal Cousins to the 49ers after not being able to get him resigned to a long-term contract, again. 1) CLE Myles Garrett DE 2) *WAS* TRADE Jamal Adams S 3) CHI Jonathan Allen DT 4) JAX Solomon Thomas DE 5) TENN Marshon Lattimore CB 6) NYJ Leonard Fournette RB 7) LA Malik Hooker S 8) CAR Derek Barnett DE 9) CIN Corey Davis WR 10) BUF Mike Williams WR 11) NOLA Deshaun Watson QB 12) CLE OJ Howard TE 13) ARI Marlon Humphrey CB 14) PHI John Ross WR 15) IND Dalvin Cook RB 16) BAL Reuben Foster LB/Alabama 17) WAS DeShone Kizer QB Ultimately I think the pick will between Reuben Foster and Mike Williams, but with the combine incident and Foster being ILB I think he would more likely to fall than Barnett, Corey Davis, or Mike Williams. Foster is my favorite of those three and he easily could be the first of those names picked. 2nd - Sidney Jones CB/Washington With signing Brandon Carr I see no issue in picking Sidney Jones in the 2nd and not rushing him back onto the field. He is a 1st round talent and widely considered one of the favorites to be picked at 16 prior to his injury. 3rd - Chris Godwin WR/Penn State I love when the Ravens pick players close to home and I feel like Chris Godwin does not get enough credit. Hell of a football player and watching him catch the ball near the sideline is something I could get used to. 3rd (comp) - DeMarcus Walker DE/Florida State 4th - James Conner RB/ Pitt 5th - Darreus Rogers WR/USC I wanted to pick an OT in the 2nd/3rd but I feel like getting these players would be great value picks
  6. Agreed, I wish it wasn't always assumed we'll pick where we're at or move back. No guarantee a higher rated prospect outperforms another player, but it does hurt to draft picks only serve a special teams players and/or have an entire draft class no longer on the team. Would love to see them double dip in the 1st round since they haven't done that since the almighty Kyle Boller
  7. I'm not sure if this has been covered recently, but is there any chance of drafting Peppers even after signing Jefferson? I've been a big fan of Peppers, more so off the field than on. Just watched another video that I think shows a lot about his character, especially with what he has gone through. From what I have seen he is just such an exciting player that really can command and lead wherever he's put. Only one interception is what a lot of people tend to focus on but this guy is pretty exciting to watch.
  8. I keep seeing fans compliment other teams draft, how about the love for the Ravens draft? Ronnie Stanley wasn't a sexy pick but who else would you have much rather taken at 6? We (myself included) were all so quick to jump the gun and criticize the FO on picking him instead of Tunsil. Nkemdiche threw him under the bus at the combine, then the twitter account fiasco, and then having texts asking the coach to pay for his mom's bills that, just so happen, increased throughout the process? I think Stanley was by far the best pick at 6 and there really wasn't anyone that was dying to trade up at that point. Passing on Spence did bother me, but they claim they had correa ranked higher, were able to move back twice and still get their guy. I think the thing that hasn't gotten as much attention is how much heart/anger some of these "reaches" play with. It doesn't show up on the stat sheet but you can definitely see it in the way they play. That kind of mentality is what makes good players great. We essentially got Correa and Judon instead of only getting Spence. All of the guys we drafted also don't have off the field issues. I don't think Spence will either but there's always the "we won't know until it happens" type of crowd. We needed O-line, we drafted two of them. We needed pass rushers, we drafted two (and signed Victor Ochi). We lost a 6'7" 320 DE in Canty and got a 6'6 285 Kaufusi (Canty weighed 290 coming out of Virginia). We got another deep-threat in Chris Moore which is a solid back up plan for if Perriman doesn't produce. One game against Ohio State he had 3 catches for 220 yards and 3TDs (had a 20 yard TD that was called back which would've made it 4 TDs). One of his three was against Vonn Bell (2nd round pick) and one was against Eli Apple (10th overall in the draft). We needed corners and got arguably the best slot corner in the draft and drafted another CB in the 6th round. Didn't even need a running back but we were able to somehow grab Kenneth Dixon at the end of the 4th. Keep in mind the scouts and FO know A LOT more than any of us even think we know. Ravens didn't go with the sexy picks, they obviously didn't want Jack that early in the 2nd round. I think we should give it time before being negative on the guys we picked or didn't pick. Multiple experts have given the Ravens VERY high draft grades for THIS year. Give these guys a chance before classifying them at reaches or poor picks.
  9. Everyone complains about Perriman being hurt all year and that he's terrible, he's a bust.... Yet people were all in on Jack in the 2nd? If we didn't want him at 6, and we didn't want to trade up to get him in the 1st, I doubt the Ravens would've even touched him until the 3rd.
  10. Ravens trade back with the Jets, picking up a 3rd this year, 1st and 3rd next year. They'll get Noah Spence with the 20th pick. Next I see Mackensie Alexander at our 2nd round pick and then trade up into the late teens to grab Su'a Cravens. Hollywood Higgins, Keith Marshall, and Joe Dahl in the fourth
  11. I'm at school in Kentucky so I feel your pain! My brother lives in Boston and was able to find a crew that meets at the same bar on Gamedays
  12. I just don't see the Ravens going Tunsil AND Nkemdiche. I think Jakeem Grant won't go until later in the draft so I'd love to grab Keith Marshall or Drake and then get Jakeem later in the draft.
  13. Tunsil, without question. I believe Ramsey gets a lot more credit than he deserves. Maybe if he stayed at one position in college and improved I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Not having to worry about LT for the next 10+ and the rest of Flacco's career sounds like a no-brainer to me. People like to downplay the role of LT because guys lineup all over the place, but LT still protects the blindside. Choosing between the two is a great problem to have, but I've got to go with Tunsil on this one.
  14. If in fact the Cowboys are thinking of taking Bosa (because of the idiots on their d-line) or Zeke, would you guys be opposed to giving up our 3rd or a 4th and 5th in order to grab Ramsey? I think if the Chargers go Tunsil at 3 it's a very reasonable chance the ravens could want to jump the Jags to grab Ramsey (this aspect depends highly on where Norman ends up but I am just speaking as if the draft were today). I believe that if the Chargers draft Ramsey than we just stay put and grab Tunsil, Bosa or Jack
  15. I am not a huge Nkemdiche fan, but I can't act like I wouldn't love him and Bosa/Jack/Ramsey. He has all the potential in the world, and even if he doesn't reach that he is still a player that cannot be stopped 1-on-1. If we do end up with Bosa and Nkemdiche teams will have to pick their poison cause there isn't a team that could stop them both along with the fact that we have Jernigan and Brandon Williams. The only way I see the Ravens getting Nkemdiche is if he makes it to the late 20s and we trade up (Packers at 27?). I feel like it would cost a lot to trade up in the early 20s with teams like the Jets, Redskins and Texans. I don't see Steelers or Bengals trading with us.
